That and when Ribs was in contract talks, lockdown and the pandemic were still going with no news of when it was going to ease.

So he opted to chin the contract and spend time with his family. Then when the rules have eased has gone back to work.

Personally think Hughton ditched him because he was a bit short and was deemed an aerial liability.

Was by far and away our best left back of the four we had. Completely stupid he spent last year not playing and then was let go for free, and our only left back now is the worst of the four left backs we had.

Only Forest...

To be fair to Hughton Yuri did not perform well at all under him. We will all remember his performances under Sabri because there was so much good about it. He had a very poor year last season.

Although that is the case for a lot of players isn't it?

Young lad who seemed to have potential to grow into a cracking player. Of course being Forest we let him go. Yes he needed to work on his crossing but you can teach that. What you can't always teach is the mentality and I can't remember seeing a player put as much of a shift in every match for a long long time. Someone to tell the academy lads to look at.

As good as the first season? No but not terrible. Let's not forget after that first season the club wanted him to leave, and he decided to stick with us. Then he sees Bong come in and getting the nod at left back. Still he fought to get the spot back.

Something stinky has gone on behind the scenes with this. Telling us he was homesick has turned out to be a smokescreen to stop us asking more questions. What is certain is that we are a poorer side at the moment without him.

One of his best attributes was his fitness; many will recall him making lung-busting runs late on in matches, when many team-mates were blowing out their arses.

As above, the only things he was perhaps lacking are things that can be coached. Unfortunately, it seems Forest don’t do a deal of that over the last season or so.

Not looking out of place in the Europa League at Leicester tonight. Bet he wishes he had Brice behind him though, thier keeper is awful.

There was something stinky behind the scenes with all the transfers of players from Portugal I think.
