Here's hoping that Aris will also get another player of yours:

Aris FC are the second largest club in Thessaloniki. Given that they have a traditional feud against PAOK, they are a friendly club, too friendly according to PAOK fans (and myself), if you catch my hint.

I just read they're looking for a left back. Can you think of any?

Shame, I always rated him, though he may be on a fair amount and he's probably a way behind the new signings.

Left by mutual consent.

I quite liked him, though he was well down the pecking order after this summers arrivals. Nowhere near amongst the worst of the 5286 signings we've had in recent years, and that goal against Derby will always be a great memory.

Good luck to the bloke.

i always thought he and milo were a great partnership , beno rough and tumble ways with milo calm and cool defending. Good luck to beno.

what a shame Forest couldn't make it work

He was one of my favourite defenders in recent years

After an extensive effort to bring him back to shape and match fitness (according to initial reports he looked as if he had quit football for years when he signed), the manager of Aris is very pleased with Benalouane, a starter in the last two matches, and receiving very positive reviews for his performances.

Benalouane has surprisingly managed to avoid injuring himself or opponents so far. He did manage to injure his manager though, while celebrating a victory tonight.

A couple of weeks ago, Benalouane started handing out food and other goods to homeless people, on his own, and without publicizing it much. Now, he says he found 100 people willing to help him (both with money and with personal work) and he will do it on a regular basis.

Still a bit too clumsy on defence, but a good bloke, and very popular in his team.

For those not minding Google translate, a long interview of Benalouane: https://www.gazzetta.gr/specials/2066504/mpenaloyan-sto-gazzetta-o-aris-einai-i-thessaloniki

Among other things, he talks about his very difficult childhood, his charity initiative (he says he did the same at Nottingham, but the press had not spotted him there and he did not receive much help from ordinary people, unlike over here), his tech company (!), Thessaloniki, and exposes his impressive tattoos.

Probably my favourite of the "non-playing" players we've had around the club over the last decade.

You are almost set to dislike him when he signs for you because he appears the mercenary type but it is harsh to say that. He would always give his all and leave everything on the pitch. There was definitely something about him that always made him likeable. I feel like if he had control over his injuries & stayed at a club for a long time he would be loved by a fan base.

Almost like a poundland Sergio Ramos in that regard. Would do stupid things but you can't really dislike him for it.
