I think a lot depends on how the rest of the day plays out.
Assuming the deals we're expecting go ahead - so Shelvey/Felipe/Navas coming in, and Cook/O'Brien/Biancone/Cafu/Taylor/Smith all either heading out or not registered due to injury - then we've got a free spot in the 25.
If we don't end up signing either Angelo or Brynhildsen (or someone else unexpected) to take that last space, then I don't entirely hate the idea of a short term relatively low wage deal to pad out the squad.

The only thing I am upset at only one is the lack of quick centre halfs. However this is one of the most contempt I’ve been at a transfer window. It’s usually far more mind boggling than this. If Navas, Felipe and Shelvey happen it’s a good window even with Ayew. Without a pacey centre back it’s not been a top window but again I’m not complaining at all. If someone said to me this time last year we’d have Lodi, Felipe and Navas I would have told you to feck off.

He was a decent player but that feels like a long time ago and at a lower level. Cooper knows him inside out so that's good - otherwise it's quite a comedown from some of the younger names we've been linked with.
