Um, I swansn't trying to join your gaggle of puns?

Don’t terra cob on.
Aaah, I’ve penned another pair.
But seriously, I saw Will on several occasions and didn’t ever feel he would be able to develop into a Forest First Team Squad player.
I hope he has success at Mansfield.

Good luck to the lad! So many players in academies fail to make it as a professional footballer at all. I always think that if a player has come through our academy and has gone on to play professionally, even if it's not our level, we've done right by them. Not every player can be a Brennan Johnson or Jermaine Jenas. But player like Barry Roche and Craig Westcarr went on to have very decent careers in the lowers leagues.

Agreed. If not for injuries, Swan would have probably netted around 15 goals for Mansfield this season. He'll at very worst carve out a career as a decent lower league striker, which is still a great outcome for the lad.

Agree very much with the last two posts, the club should take enormous pride in producing professional players for any level of the football pyramid. Good luck to Swan, he's well liked by the Mansfield fans who I know, hopefully he can stay fit to give Stags and Clough that push next season.

I watch a fair bit of Mansfield and both he and Harbottle (who Stags fans would also like to see return) did very well. Its a shame both had injury problems over the course of the season (Mansfield's injury list was almost as bad as ours!) as they would have almost certainly at least made the play offs if they were available more often.

And he joins former Forest Academy graduate James Perch at the Stags, as well.

Plus, his Manager…

Just those under 60 understand, and for our very own working man, Andy:

Brilliant, thank you for the reminder. My Dad used to play these songs and chuckle away at them. I expect he's watching over me and laughing away now. Thank you for transporting me back half a century. There used to be a song about a French Horn too. I'm going to google it.
