I have bitched and moaned about the bring back Billy Brigade, however when Alex goes Billy is lined up.. Deal is done.. Discussions have been had with BD and Fawaz.

"Apparently" McLeish was a MA choice!?

Definitely not Pembo. Please god no. He's in exactly the right job already.

If AM doesn't get the assurances he wants, and I really hope he does, then the sad fact is I would take Keane.

Who's next will be a uk demolition company to flatten the city ground and build a block of apartments where good football was once played. Club has turned into a joke, the manager is a joke, the players just don't seem interested. I want to back Forest and the boys in red to do well but each day gets more and more difficult to do this

No difficulty backing the boys in red yesterday. For all the well-known flaws in the team, and the now-obvious fact that SoD, as with BD before him, was actually overperforming at the point he was sacked for underforming, yesterday saw the garibaldi adorn some good players visibly desperate to get back into the game even at 2-0 down.

This doesn't feel as rotten as the Mcclaren era, even if it is as stupid and self-inflicted. Big Eck isn't a straightforward wanker the way McClaren was, for a start, and that must make some difference.

Some very scary suggestions re a new manager. I personally think McLeish will walk. Pemberton would do for me. Actually knows the club. Sensible like S.O'D was.

I hope it's nobody with a proud history at the club as a player etc. Their name and legacy will only be dragged through the mud if it is. Saying that, I hope McLeish doesn't leave, it would be chaos.

I have always stuck by our managers, and I don't think we should ever chop and change for the sake of it, I was always the last person to call for Megson, Cotterill etc, but I just can't see us improving under McLeish and I think he must go.

With reflection, all those that wanted O Driscoll out must be longing for him to still be here. In all of our years of sacking managers over the last 10 years, the O Driscoll sacking remains totally baffling to me, given time he would have taken us up.

But, sacking McLeish I can't see any other option, sadly I think he will hang on until the Summer, and that is too late. Lets start rebuilding now for next season. I just don't know who we could bring in, or who would want the job.

It'll be Roy Keane, won't it?

:(

Just reassembled a squad and trying to get it to gel? Bring in a man who could turn a group of nuns into murderers and against each other.

Keane would probably kill our club. Players hate the the man enough to leg it if already here, or not sign for anything but exorbitant wages if coming to the club. We'd end up with a bunch of free loaders who don't want to play for him, relegation, bust the wage cap & have unsustainable bill.

The thought of Keane is beyond frightening.

Definitely not Pembo. Please god no. He's in exactly the right job already.

This!^

Same as Robinson, Keane or any other manager which hasn't got a solid or reliable record - we don't need to be taking any more daft gambles on the off-chance that they come good. We need stability from proven or level headed people.

Rob Kelly - perfect man as caretaker manager until a new one appointed in the summer.

Reading about people on here talking about Roy Keane.
Are they crazy.
We need a manager that will last a few years at least.
Do you people that say ; Roy Keane for manager ; would last a week with the owners telling him what he can or can't do.
He would pick the team himself and not listen to owners.
This club is dying a slow death.
Why don't you all wake up and agree.
This club has more up and downs than an old mattress.
Only now i think the springs are broke and we need someone in ASAP to mend them or we go DOWN, DOWN, and DOWN

It won't be a long term appointment. McLeish was the long term appointment.

Fawaz needs to bring in a knowledgable buffer between him and manager before contemplating Eck going.
