This thread has filtered into my subconscious as I dreamed about Winnits last night.

He was in full dogging mode.

He is fine , as far as his F/B updates make out,he is all loved up and followng FD far and wide, writing a blog and moaning about being stuck on the M42.

Nothing there for 8 months though.

I smell something wrong here a cover up on a grand scale, our very own conspiracy theory if you will.

His account has effectively suffered a Stasi style deletion being downgraded to 'guest' now that to me implies something more than a simple 'not that interested any more' another former leading light 'Col' appears to have suffered the same fate.

Other strange things have happened too, the well known bi epithet 'Secret Angel' is now a mod on City Ground Faithfull......somebody has to tend the tumble weed as it blows through that place.

There has obviously been some sort of behind the scenes power struggle that we the common herd are not privy to.

The truth is out there.

Again nothing on the personal blog for 8 months the other stuff could have been written by any one.

Over all these responses just deepen my concern that these are just attempts by senior members of the forum to deflect us from the truth by using humour.

No there is a deeper truth here whether it is ever revealed only time will tell.

8 months, he posted 3 days ago, it was either a bird sanctuary or he broke one of FD's guitar strings.

The 8 months was on his personal blog with the link through from that one.

I think the question the OP was asking really was why has someone who was so intimately linked with this forum and was well liked as a fair minded poster just been erased from the site. It is not as if he has just gone onto other things and not posting any more his account has been deleted and all his old posts labelled 'guest'; same with Col.

When he stepped down as a mod he issued a nice statement explaining so I am surprised at his current disappearance, it's just not Winnit's like.

So there is something, and the powers that currently exist (is there list of the current mods? I can't find one) may choose not to explain it, but when guys of that calibre effectively dis associate themselves it may well be a concern to long standing members.
