First it is announced that Calum Davenport is in a critical condition after being repeatedly stabbed in his legs, then Dean Ashton is reportedly close to retiring due to a degenerative ankle condition!!!

West Ham suffered their second tragedy in 24 hours after the father of their young midfielder Jack Collison was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday morning. Ian Collison, 46, was on his way to watch his son play against Spurs at Upton Park when he crashed on the M25 near Epping.

Emergency services were called to the crash, which happened just before noon, but Mr Collison was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 20-year-old Collison, who only later found out about his father's death due to difficulties in establishing next of kin, had played 89 minutes for a West Ham side who were still coming to terms with the news that their team-mate Calum Davenport had been the victim of a vicious knife attack at his family's Bedford home on Saturday.

In modern day they should play this fixture behind closed doors from now on ! I pray there's no families that get caught up in this. Lets hope the fans get what's coming. Sounds like the club are trying their hardest to police this game but there's only so much you can do. I'd say fine the clubs but this won't affect the scum involved ! Fighting is one thing, using weapons against people for the sake of a football fixture is a disgrace !

I expect this news to be going on till early hours and more casualties unfortunately !

The fans are on the f***ing pitch, the players are asking people to go.

Phil Thomson just did a great appeal. Really looked upset ! They showed the scenes after Stanislas's goal. What are these scum actually think they are achieving ? Must of been 60 odd run on the pitch after his goal. Stanislas didn't help things and neither did the fat twat gesturing to Milwall fans !
