I haven't driven down past "Roman Fields" - the massive development to the far side of Bingham.
I wonder how those new housing estates are faring?
I have actually (my daughter‘s grandparents live in Bingo) and again, there’s nowhere for the water to go.

The gramps live the other side of Bingham (nearer the Saxondale end) and to get to their road, you have to drive through a massive pool of static water in the road.

Drove down past Roman Qtr about an hour ago & it's fine, usual massive puddle on Nott'm Road in Bingham but Gunthorpe Bridge is closed so couldn't get my daughter to football training in Lowdham / pint in the Magna while I wait for her

I've never seen the Trent so high.
Had a walk down Beeston weir with the dog on Dec 31st and it was very high then, but seen pictures taken this week of it much higher.

The concrete you can see in my pictures was underwater in the more recent pics I've seen.

It looks like it's actually gone down a bit from what I saw yesterday on fb

No tell a lie, the one I saw last night is a different picture but very similar. It looks like it's actually gone down a bit.

Here's hoping.

Another 24 should make a lot of difference. 🤞

Only a bit of water innit?

Back in my day we'd let the stadium flood and play the game in rowing boats with trench foot. World's gone soft.

Don't see there being any problem for Sundays game. It's dropping fairly quickly now and should be back to a normalish level by tomorrow afternoon.

I'm not going to stand here and moan about the water but the level of the water made our job impossible and it was cold water, a bit dirty too and it stank, put my players off their games because they weren't expecting it to be such wet water, made their socks squelch.
But as I say, I'm not going to complain about it.

Dyche would have played on this pitch. @Barbus I took this photo earlier today from about the same spot as your photos a few posts back. Water levels have receded slightly overnight so the levels outside the ground should drop very soon.

If you can just drop an 'embargo' into that you could be Dougie Freedman!

I've just been to my allotment and pruned some fruit bushes in 4 inches of standing water.

People get off in weird ways nowadays.

I got a bit wet and muddy but it felt very nostalgic, like days of old at the Baseball Ground or Victoria Road. Pefect for the FA Cup.
Luckily my plot is higher up on our allotments here in mid-Suffolk. The lower levels had water over the top of my boots, but my plot was just soggy. Perfect for an hour or so of heavy digging. It was great just to be out and in the fresh air. Actually still raining a bit, but only a light drizzle.

My plot usually has one big puddle, about 2m in diameter and a couple of inches dep. But this season, most of the plot is under some water.

We're on a very slight incline, so the plots below me are quite inundated, but more than usual.
