Let's be honest: Really need another solid option/backup to Taiwo and this dude could be that...or not.

Either way, loved his work rate today.

we have lost surridge and ayew as our option on the bench, this guy got pace , got height, can hold up the ball and he can play in midfield, derserves the chance during pre-season to see if he could be a viable option on the bench this season.

Would love if this guy got a squad spot just because Asian representation in this sport isn’t common, especially in this league. It would be cool.

My local side currently have three Japanese international players in the squad, and they are all pretty good.

Germany has alot of Asian players, it’s really cool. I swear most of the Filipino national team at one point was half German or even half American.

There is a big Asian immigrant community in Germany, similar to the Turkish community (which is why there are a huge number of German-Turkish football players).

Düsseldorf, for some reason I have not yet worked out, has a massive Japanese community; there are all sorts of Japanese shops and restaurants there.

There are some really good Asian restaurants in Stuttgart as well, one of my favourites is a Vietnamese place in Stuttgart-Feuerbach that does the most fantastic chicken.

He was terrible for Oly and bang average in the Korean league last season. Regardless of how good he looked against a League 2 side in a friendly, if the guy ends up being in our 25 man squad when the season starts then something will have gone very wrong with our recruitment.

He's also 30, so he ain't going to start getting better any time soon.

Mention of rat earlier reminds me that when in Kuala Lumpur we used to go to an outside eating area we called rat corner.

Some of the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, so don't be put off by our four legged friends.

This, unbelievable how much prestige has been given to what was a training session essentially against a team that was non-league last season. Hwang wont be a part of our squad next season and if he is we're bang in trouble.

Similar story here when I spent time in Cambodia. Chicken was 100% not chicken. I assume it was rat but whatever it was it was fine.

If a player who failed at Olympiacos and ended last season playing in South Korea ends up in our 25 man squad for the coming season something has gone dreadfully wrong.

Im glad he scored though as it may put his name out there a bit for a sale.

Philip Zinckernagel and Silva were decent at Forest but weren't great at Oly either, maybe it's more difficult to adapt to their squad or lifestyle, he wasn't in Greece for very long but he has proven that he can score quality goals in The top tier of the French League, something I'm not sure Surridge or Awew are capable of doing.

He is also still a regular in a good South Korean international team.

From looking at his skills and career goals, I'd prefer Hwang starting over Chris Wood.

His National team mate, Son, has said he doesn't want to play in Saudi Arabia. Wonder if the Saudis will throw a lot of money at Forest for a fellow Korean?

I am wondering if we are not planning to buy another forward because of Hwang. What do other forum members think?
