I'm hoping for a final day near enough as crazy as this.

Bit late, but that was a year I was in Cyprus on holiday and on that day I was set to fly home. Our flight home was after the set of results, so I got to see them moments before leaving where we were staying. While queueing to check-in another Brit was in the next row over and I heard him talking nervously about if West Brom had done it. I got to tell him they had, and he couldn't believe it. He quickly ran off to call back home to confirm it. Almost thought he was gonna hug me when he got back.

So the singing section trial continues but so far its not been as successful as the booing section, the leaving at half time section or the "You're not fit to wear the shirt section".

There is the square root of f*** all to sing about in Leicester, the place is an absolute dump.

In fact, the National Space Centre is the only decent thing there. The Space Centre has a Soyuz spacecraft too, which is interesting because it has travelled in to space and come down with an almighty bump, a bit like the local football club.

Those club-issue plastic clappers were bad enough in terms of shamelessly trying to contrive an atmosphere, but this takes embarrassment to a new level.

We have singing sections all over the city ground. Surely they’ve seen how successful it’s been for us

mello, can you answer a question for me,

Is MacAllister THAT good? I've watched him a decent amount (not as much as you obviously) and don't think he's ever looked anything that special, and I watched Argentina get to the final but ball to Di Maria in the final aside, I never thought he was that good during that run either. Really rate your other gems (Mitoma, Caicedo etc ect) but is Mac a bit overrated or am I bit misplaced in my thoughts?
A fair question - obviously the World Cup win has elevated his profile a bit.

He's got lovely technique, a nice bit of aggression, great decision making and a very cool head - great combo for a good CM, basically. Scored 6 of 6 pens this season. Raw talent wise no I wouldn't quite put him on Caicedo's level, but still one of our best players in mine and most Brighton fans' opinions.

Also comes across really well in interviews and on social media - never any sign of billy big bollocks whatsoever - hence a big favourite with the fanbase. Whereas with Trossard it always felt like he thought he was doing us a bit of a favour playing for us.

We seem very, very good at extracting maximum value from the players we sell on (Cucurella for £63m is still insane) so I can see £60-80m for Alex Mac, and he'll go with our best wishes.

People blame the players, but the manager is the spirit of the team. He creates the atmosphere.

Whatever he decides the players should eat or drink, how he thinks they should talk to each other. How they interact. What sauce they have on their chips. Or not caring if they have sauce or not.

I hear Steve Cooper calls the players regularly. Even if they're not playing. He makes sure to call them and check up on them. It means a lot for the overall 'company' feeling and what you want to put in to achieve results as a collective. Strength in numbers. Togetherness.
100%. I think the togetherness our team had this season completely comes from Coops. This is his big strength. He should be awarded a honourary degree in psychology.

Mellotron, the two standout performances of the season were your dismantling of Arsenal away (which made our job of beating them a week later a bit easier 👍) and the way you went toe to toe with City last week (and should’ve won).
Amazing season for your team. Good luck in Europe next season. You should do well.

Funnily enough one of our best performances was the 2-1 loss against Spurs with 3 disallowed goals and 3 potential pens not given.

Was really glad to be at the Soton game last weekend where we more or less confirmed Europe - a lot of people in tears at the final whistle, aware how far we have come as a club in the last 26 years - homeless and a goal away from going out of the Football League entirely.

But yes. So far beyond any expectations, especially after Chelsea ransacked our club a month into the season. Going to enjoy Europe next season, whatever happens.

Depends what you class as struggling.

I think they'll be okay, they look so well coached at the minute I reckon you could put Harry Arter in their team and he would look okay.

That's the thing with Brighton & Brentford - I don't think it's their recruitment that is incredible, I just think it's the environment they make for players and allows them to slot into a system with ease. You look at players that have moved elsewhere from those clubs and they never stand out like they do at Brighton.
Agreed - not saying we will keep elevating but Brighton is a seriously, seriously well-run club, from top to bottom. That should stop us from completely imploding. We hope. Yes I'm sure there will be the odd time when the players coming through aren't quite cutting it.

But right now - Enciso, Ferguson, Buonanotte, Mitoma, Van Hecke, (hopefully Colwill...) - future looks bright.
