He said they were too cheap and he would have got more money for them.I'm sure Pearce didn't want to sell either of them, wasn't he on BBC radio Notts on the night they were sold lamenting the deal?

Until we're an established Premier league side we'll have this conversation every time we see a young'un shine. I suppose the positive is the fact that we seem to be producing exciting players that catch the eye, more than can be said of the likes of Leeds or Qpr etc.
That's only providing that Billic plays him in the correct position. He keeps playing antonio as a right back and there's no chance he's getting on that plane.

Even when you're a Premier League side the big boys still come calling. Just look at Southampton!!
True, but look at the money those players bring in when they go.
I keep seeing threads about Assombalonga and people worrying about him leaving. Has there actually been any indication that the club would sell or even that hes looking to move? Norwich made a bid and it got rejected they seem the only club at the moment with any real interest and a move to them would be a sideways step anyway it would make no sense its the start of the season we could go up and they could stay down. Unless a premier league club become interested i wouldn't worry too much i think he will stay.
As for him being too good for Forest there are quite a few players in the championship this season that should be in the premier league its just the league is much stronger now than it was a few years ago if we want to go up we need to keep our best players here.
Burke just signed a four and a half year deal in February, and Assombalonga is in year three of a five year deal. All the time in the world.
Who's going to employ a brainless idiot with a daft haircut and covered in tattoos? Why is it out of the question for footballers to get another job once they retire?
Money talks.

Under contract. Forcing them to stay for at least another year couldn't be easier.
Not really. How many examples are there in the past of footballers starting to half-arse it when they want to force a move? It becomes counter-productive to force them to stay.
Fawaz saying he wont sell him unless it's in the best interests of the club means he's preparing to sell him.
As much as I agree with you, I don't think Britt is that kind of character
