Thierry Henry, Tucson F.C. and the Red Bulls

Apparently, Tucson has a semi-pro soccer team called F.C. Tucson. Just started this season Long story short, I just found out they'll be playing the New York Red Bulls (stupidest f'ing name ever) Saturday night at the local baseball stadium. Thierry Henry, that former Arsenal wanker and World Cup qualifying cheat, will be here, at a park around the corner from my house.

I suppose I could wax philosophic on the finer points of soccer coming to my fair city, and express my hopes for the growth of football culture in the community, providing a base for an expansion of a semi-pro team into a viable competitor on a national stage, but we'll save that intelligent discussion for a later date.

Today, I need some vitriolic, hateful anti-Henry chants. I'm gonna get smashed then go taunt that hand-ball-into-goal-into-World-Cup-ahead-of-Ireland f***er! Think you can come to the AZ and nobody will know who you are? Think again pretty boy!

So lemme have it! Original chants or well-established classics, I'll take em all. The less big words the better, since I'll be hammered, and please none sung to the tune of traditional English ballads, as I don't know any of those outside of our National Anthem. Also, nothing by Wings. Fuckin McCartney.

Re: Thierry Herny, Tucson F.C. and the Red Bulls

I've just proposed Tutts as Winnits understudy but I'm gonna try post something calm and collected.

I thought TH was a massive breath of fresh air in the world cup 1998, running the left wing like a good un. It wasn't a surprise to many that he got a move to the frog eating arse. He hardly ever came inside, dinked up some decent crosses from his left wing and was an all round top frog. They won me a few sparkling english pounds too, which was nice.

Sorry I've not posted in the vein you wanted TH x

Has he singed yet?
Aside from his hand-to-ball ( :hey: ) moment against Ireland, I don't understand your dislike of him? He was an amazing player for Arsenal!

Yeah, not helpful in the least. But thanks! Also, I spelled his name wrong in the title and now I can't fix it. Just wanted to point out that I noticed it before somebody calls me on it.

I hate the French and I hate Arsenal, so by proxy, I hate him. I got a soft spot for Spurs (brothers team), so it only makes sense, you know, Jewish thing and all.

Too easy, but brilliant in its simplicity. Definitely on the list.

Re: Thierry Herny, Tucson F.C. and the Red Bulls

Or just shout handball! every time he gets near the ball?

Just BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Clever, clever songs are not easy to organise or to make a coherent sound that the target will hear. So Just BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO every time he gets the ball is my suggestion.

We needed the Prussians to beat the Old Enemy - the French at Waterloo. Got mitt uns?

He was a brilliant player though!

Sigh. People! We're missing the point here! Of course he was good, he's Arsenal's all time leading scorer, but that's irrelevant. What IS relevant is that he sucks, and needs to be told as much.

The bloke was a an absolute pleasure to watch, only regret is I did not get the chance to see him play in real life, only the telly

He was like a poor man's Nathan Tyson :D

You could belittle his appearances on UK televisions for Renault Clio adverts in which he said 'Va Va Voom' a bit.

I think he might have been one of the faces for Gillette Razors too.

Struggling really because aside from the handball incident like others I only really had admiration for him.

Just get yourself some firecrackers from Mexico and set them off - being French what he thinks is gunfire will have him hoisting up the white flag in no time!

If you hate him that much and have ample reason to can you not come up with your own stuff?

Gott, nicht Got, bitte! Und ja, Gott its immer mit uns, vielleicht. Aber dass ist auch nicht meine Punkte!

True, Boooooooooooo is an old classic. Shit, all we did at the pub when we beat you guys in the World Cup was chant "U.S.A." over and over again. Not a very clever bunch for sure.

Hahaha! Mexico is a deathtrap, but it is Tucson, I suppose I could just bring a pistol anyway. Too soon? f*** it, who cares.

Once again, I'm an American, and a product of the public school system at that, I'm not creative enough to do it. Christ Almighty, are you guys related to him? It's a love fest around here!

Morning here. Started drinking at 6 am for the first game, hardly standing by U.S.A. England kick-off. And yes, it was a 1-1 draw, but for us, thats a win.

Anyway back to Thierry, forget trying to wind him up, water off a ducks back, the bloke was brilliant at his peak, now well past that, but class does not just fade away, go and see him, enjoy seeing some real talent, aged maybe but real talent non the less.

Is he the one that let a firework off in a girls' face outside a pub? They sure pick their strikers, do Notts!

The other one is often drinking in Hucknall of a weekend now. Looks like some silly girl who has had a bit of TV fame thinks he must be a catch. Funny how the idea of mounting the curb and mowing the idiot down came to mind when i seen him.

Henry is no Commons or even Craig Bellamy, but he is a frog cheat at the very least, a whiney arrogant prick at worst.
