Tom Randall is reliant on votes from the good folk of Ravenshead AR.

Ravenshead is Sherwood (soon to be Sherwood Forest) so it's Mark Spencer but yes, Ravenshead is typically very blue (although maybe not this version of blue).

My missus hit a f***ing pot hole last night exploding the tyre.

The council are getting it! f***ing sick to death of the state of the roads around me.
There's quite a few repair patches near me that are falling to pieces. What are they repairing them with , f***ing play doh?

Not seen this posted elsewhere but today’s update published by Forza Garibaldi. Seems there’s an issue with renegotiating the CG lease now the government are involved in running the council?
I find it very hard to believe that a 'plan B' is not being considered, even if it is only an informal discussion.
Given the situation with the lease, and if I owned the club, I would propose to the City Council (HM Government in reality): How much for the freehold of Eastcroft? Then, we can free up the City Ground site and the surrounding bits and pieces (some of which Forest do own I believe) for development.
I applaud the club for convening the meeting at short order, and I applaud Forza for getting this information out there.

Although there is the guy on the corner of Chapel Lane and Longdale Lane who generally puts up a huge Vote Labour banner (although I didn't see it last election).

I have come to the conclusion that there is more chance of me lining up at left back for VfB Stuttgart for the next three seasons than there is of Forest doing any meaningful redevelopment at the City Ground over the same time period.

One other problem I have noticed in the UK, is the ever increasing number of heavier, SUV-type vehicles, cars that are much more damaging to road surfaces, so that means the roads get torn up even worse, prompting more people to go and get themselves an SUV, because the roads are in such a state…

Yes, the Germans like a nice Mercedes G-Wagen or Porsche Cayenne, but the German road surfaces seem to take this into account, indeed, there were some recent works on a road near where I live, and they came and stripped the entire road surface down to the bed, before relaying (at least) two courses on top. And they did a stretch of about 200m, in a couple of weeks.
The pensioners near me all seem to own those big MG SUV,s that are cheaper to buy and worth f*** all in 2 years. Most of the twats don't go any further than the bleeding co-op.

Agree.
The impasse will continue for another 5 years and nothing will be concluded. Forest have to be prepared to make a tough decision this year. Risk falling behind? Running water would be nice, safe access in and out nice. How far behind do we need to be to get shit done exactly?

get on with plan B Forest, any money spent hasn’t been wasted, it’s a stepping stone

But that, again, is absolutely damning on the football club.

Why do they not have a Plan B, or Plan C?

Yet again, it’s f***ing amateur hour, and they’re seemingly sticking their heads in the sand, expecting some magic to happen which will generate new stands at the City Ground in five minutes, all the while, Forest get left behind in a creaking dump of a stadium that is nowhere near the demands of top flight football, in either capacity or facilities. It’s all well and good patting the new Chairman on the back because his company have been able to draw pretty pictures of what a new ground would look like, but it’s f*** all use if nothing ever gets done, bar chucking up some shipping containers so the wealthy don’t have to mix with the oiks on matchdays. His firm drew some pretty pictures of the proposed World Cup stadium too, and that’s still two fields and a roundabout.

The only thing the current ground has going for it, is the location. Nothing else. And if the current location cannot be feasibly further developed, because of financial costs, or NIMBYs, or just the usual general incompetence we’ve come to know and love from NFFC, then what’s their solution?

Do nothing? Congrats, you’ll end up even further behind, financially, and that’s seemingly all that matters in the Premier League.

I am naturally a cynic (you’d never guess) but if I put my cynical hat on, I could a scenario where Forest throw up their hands and give up on the current site, blaming the local council, the Boat Club, residents, and anyone else who can cop some flak, and instead move to some horrendous plastic out of town shithole.

You can see it happening.

If there's genuinely no Plan B then I'd say that's negligence, and ask why does the Board even exist? Alternatively the CEO is a barefaced liar. Not a great look either way.

Is it? Really?
Ravenshead Parish Council is part of Gedling Borough, and I therefore believed the village fell within that Parliamentary constituency. I'm happy to be corrected however

He is right unfortunately; Spencer is a waste of space.
Years ago it was part of Newark Council and there is a group who keep making noises to try and get back there.

If the club showed fans what the alternative option to the City Ground could look like, providing that it’s a good alternative and not a Derby County IKEA flat pack retail park stadium, the club might actually see fans get on board with it and not be against moving from the City Ground.

Instead we get an article in the athletic telling as about a master plan but how we can’t deliver the master plan because of *insert excuse here*
