It is absurd that something that brings so much money, value and only boosts the perception of the city to a wider world is being held back (potentially) by multiple councils trying to leverage power to get more for themselves, and a rowing club that serves a handful of people and looks like it should have been knocked down decades ago anyway.

There has to be more going on. Wasn't there an interview with someone from the rowing club who seemed very positive about the move and the new facilities they were getting?

I bet the council are trying to work out how they can turn it into student accommodation instead.

I'm more than happy to be corrected on this as I don't do Facebook, Twitter/X etc, but I'm surprised there hasn't been some sort of concerted, organised campaign to encourage Forest fans to boycott the Boat Club and/or discourage those that still insist on drinking there regardless.

Obviously, the Union Rowing Club next door has no involvement in this matter.

If only, there were some sort of organisation already in existence, that looked out for the welfare of Forest supporters, who could promote such a campaign?

Some sort of Trust, or something?

The entire building is derelict. Unfortunately, some Forest fans, seemingly oblivious to the situation, foolishly provide income for its intransigent owners by frequenting their social facility in the Boat Club next door on matchdays/nights.
Otis I wonder if some people are oblivious to the situation and maybe we need to make them aware on a matchday. The place should be boycotted by all genuine Forest fans.

Wonder if they will put cladding over that entire section?

They clean it every year and it looks like shit after 2 weeks again. They would be better off cladding the entire bit red or putting something over it.
That mouldy green windbreaker plastic looks well outdated. There must be a better design these days that looks less shit. Still a beautiful stand overall though.
