At this stage it seems clear that EM is not going to have someone just burn down the f***ing boat club.

So I suggest he starts a new boat club, somewhere further down the river, and offers free membership, free boats, free oars, free beer and free whatever else posho rowing people like.
It's like that episode of the Simpsons where Homer joins the Stonecutters but they all get fed up with him so they all go and form a different, "No Homers!" club

Existing boat club should go out of business pretty soon, then EM can offer them his new boat club in exchange for their permission to knock down the bloody building they use for a shed that is preventing our new stand being built.

If it were me, I would just do a Daniel Levy on it.

So any new facility in that location would effectively block any significant development of the Brian Clough Stand. I'd be somewhat surprised if the club agreed to build them a new boathouse on that spot.
The Clough Stand being another area that will certainly require major attention sooner rather than later, and therefore the whole cycle begins again.

Nottingham's dirty secret
I wish they'd get rid of that horrible, yellowy corrugated stuff that's everywhere (like either side of the Trent End) & replace it with glass. Or if glass isn't feasible anything else.

It’s functional. It’s outdated and again Forest totally missing up on the opportunities that the spaces provides them, it’s a huge space in that car park area. All well and good looking at the main stand but how good would it be to have an open area, bars, restaurants etc l.. massive income potential

One less gobshite...
Let this be the last GOOSE FAIR at the Forest Recreation ground.

Build a new stadium there.

According to their website the Nottingham Union club have 150 active members, membership of the Nottingham Rowing Club I have no idea, the Brittania Rowing Club no longer exists as it merged some time ago with the Nottingham Rowing Club I believe. I think that the last thing either of these clubs want is new premises to upkeep, they don't have the membership to do it. They are trying to extort money from Nottingham Forest and the condition on the clubs planning application imposed by Rushcliffe is enabling them in part to do just that.

Fortunately for us, the NURC has no influence over this, but your point certainly stands as far as the NRC is concerned.

Victoria Embankment
Plenty of space to expand, loads more approach routes for traffic and crowd control, nice setting, still on the banks of the river. Whack a great big new Brian Clough Miracle Men footbridge over the river to link it to WB.
Might be a bit of resistance mind 😁

Was in Hyson Green last week the stench of weed smoke is all over, it's like a 'haze'.

Suppose we'd all be high as kites watchin Forest... bring it on 🤣
Don’t knock Forest Fields/Hyson Green,Ray-I spent the first 7 or so years of my life there.
Mind you-imagine the outbreak of nimbyism at the Polish supermarket and high rise flats if Forest planned to
build a stadium there,

That's a good point. The council was fiercely ambitious for a new shared-stadium to become the focal-point of the land at Eastside, close to the rail/tram-hub at the station as one of the chosen host cities in the bid to stage the 2018 World Cup. The plan at the time being that the revenue from the sale of the CG land (and the Sadpies' ground) would have contributed towards that aim.

Even after the WC-bid ultimately failed, the Eastside plan remained an option for a number of years until the council sold that land on.
A shared stadium with that lot is an idea from the seventh circle of Hell.

Is that Victoria Embankment area also not a flood plain?

From memory, there was one business premises in White Hart Lane, that refused to sell up and was blocking the redevelopment of Spurs‘ new ground.

Said premises - mysteriously - burnt down one day, all on its own.
