Where's the pitta gyros shop? Not good enough for NFFC.

All the money went to the coffee shops which will provide Chris's long overdue decent cup of coffee.

Some of the images also seem to indicate that the rowing club buildings won’t be there.

Artistic license???

I thought those grey images were the boat club buildings but you could be right as they appear to be part of new scheme.

Re: The World Famous City Ground Expansion Thread

I must admit that I thought the delay in unveiling the plans for the stadium meant that the plan depended on promotion (and its money). Once again I was proven wrong.

I'm pleased that wasn't the case and believe in 'start as you mean to go on'.

It will generate more revenue, more interest, improve facilities and give us a psychological boost. Not to mention the old stand is knackered.

It's positive thinking and plenty of other clubs have improved their stadiums without promotion.

Might be able to to save a few quid. There should be some cheap plastic seats up for sale soon from a place not too far away. Just need a lick of red paint.

As far as weeks go in Football for us long suffering fans, this is the best one we have had in several years.

I want the old high mast floodlights back.

All these new stadiums look like glowing fruit bowls not football grounds.

People will accuse the club of living in the past....

They could have added an extra 1k or 2 to make it 40k for the inevitable jumping ship of some sadpies looking for a good time when they disappear into oblivion.:hey:

"After more than a year of consultation, we are now delighted to be able to present you our vision for The New City Ground."

Great so see this has been on his mind from the off.

"Our intention is to now consult with our supporters and the wider Nottingham public to gain your views before making a formal planning application."

This I'm sure will be the biggest hurdle. The Bridgford End has a dip because of the natural lighting rights of local tenants. I can't see how a stand as tall as the one proposed isn't going to have massive opposition from not only those living in Colwick Road, but Rosebery Ave too.

It's the ideal scenario. Stopping in the best setting of any football ground in the land and redeveloping a stand long out of date. The pictures look great but I'll put the champagne on ice until the confirmed plans are released.

Joking aside this is a possibility.

When you are selling out against opposition like Wigan Athletic and not even in the top six it suggests we can sell more tickets.
The stand will also generate new interest and there's no reason we can't give the away fans a larger allocation back.

Re: The World Famous City Ground Expansion Thread

Great news and obviously long overdue. Apparently the building work will take up to 2 years to complete. I have been a season ticket holder in the Main Stand/Peter Taylor Stand for 46 years. Do I take a break from football for 2 years(watch Notts County perhaps!?) The club says they will consult with fans regarding the reduced capacity during redevelopment but there seems no easy answers to this problem. Any ideas?

So, this will boost our maximum capacity to 38,000?

Imagine an extra 8500 voices on top of Monday night.

Exciting beyond words. :excited:

Artists Impressions are never accurate.

That view of the Trent End in 2020 for example.

The red and white banner that says "The World's Oldest League Club" isn't shown.......
