The time has come for a massive clear out

Thought Hendo only signed a year deal? I'd let him go if so, no loss.

Hendo signed a two year deal with an option of a 3rd in the clubs favour I think.

Two points on Henderson:

- Did any championship sub score more goals coming off the bench? Not many I reckon
- Did he stop scoring because Reid couldn't supply him? See Boro and Watford goals for example - both made by Reid

The only players we will be able to 'clear out' are those whose contracts are expiring. Nobody will pay for our other scapegoats, and even if they do, it's the wrong way of going about things. The management need to coach these players into improving and performing, not ditch them and waste time and money bringing in replacements of equal ability.

You can't buy your way out of the Championship. We have proved that so many times over the years. You have to build and develop a team, which is impossible if you have a 'clear out' every summer.

The whole team stopped scoring without Reid

Last 17 games - scored 18, conceed 37... yikes

In those games we lost to 3 and drew against 1 of the bottom 7 teams in the league... 11 points dropped and we finished 8 off the playoffs. Says it all.

Record against that bottom 7 bar Birmingham has been piss poor. Saying that only 4 points off Birmingham isn't good enough considering how badly Clark has them set up.

If we want to be promoted next season we have to beat the worst teams in the league.

Away draws just aren't good enough. Winning at home and drawing away through out that so many people champion as a measure of success wouldn't have seen us promoted this year.

I'd say if Kelvin Wilson has one more injury we should admit defeat on him. We paid all that money for him with so much promise and hope, yet he's barely played, I've almost forgotten what he looks like.

Hobbs and Lascelles are our best centre back pairing, and during that run of games together they were the best in the league, but the usual story of injuries got in the way.

I'm not going to repeat myself yet again about why Halford should be kept, I think that's obvious.

My wonder is if Abdoun and Djebbour will stay. I really hope so.

The time isn't now but if he continues into next season as a biscuit the club might have to consider their options. If he hasn't already he needs to see a back specialist and set up a training and rehabilitiation program which manages his injury. Back injuries can manifest themselves elsewhere in the body like hamstring injuries. I might be wrong but Giggs suffered a lot of hamstring injuries which were in part related to his back. I think this was one of the reasons he took up yoga to improve his injury situation.
Ultimately we need a return on what was a big investment for us.

Point 3 - Is Henderson actually a football or a hod carrier who was working on a local building site?

I have been very disappointed with him. His touch is appalling, his application poor and his ability to win ball in the air none existant. I would love to get rid of him.

Point 4 - We scraped the bottom of the barrel bringing him in, get shot.

Did you see Wilson on his debut against blackburn showed what we were missing in the back four just give him time and he will recover.

SERIOUSLY!? They've done absolutely naff all to suggest they deserve to play for us, despite being the highest paid on the squad.

If Pearce decides to keep them, I hope they both do their cruciates to keep them out for a season. Useless and incompetent.

Expensive Fawaz flops.

And how is that going to help the squad, team or club having two highly paid players out with career threatening injuries? Can you sell an injured player? To be a success you need all players at the club ready to go.

Unless you have some inside knowledge of the club it would seem that you've fallen into the trap of not liking one player and grouping him with another player because he comes from the same place.... I can't see how anyone can form an opinion on someone being crap when they have started 3 games at a time when things at the club were obviously toxic from the manager down.

I know he was only on loan but personally I still don't know if djjabeour is good enough and I went to all the games he's started...reflecting on them three games the whole team was poor so he hardly stood out as "shit". If his attitudes wrong, forest/pearce will get rid I'm sure of it but if its ok, I think he at least deserved a chance... Ones things for sure he's not to be grouped with abdoun and judged on abdouns performance.

A very logical response to my angry outburst, I just get mad with them.....especially Abdoun! but the whole Djebbour thing frustrates me so much, we need a striker to fire us to glory and we sign some f***ing 'hotshot' from the Greeek league who doesn't want to come here, but thought "f*** it i want out" halfway through the season. He even refused the medical in summer pre-season remember.

I totally agree with you, I was banging on pre season that I was worried we'd be to reliant on goals from midfield.... We've not had a proper striker at the club since earnie....I was hoping that he could be that man but I still think reasonably we will never know.... I have no knowledge of Algerian football or the Greek league and anyone can look good on YouTube so I can only form an opinion on someone I see in the flesh and I don't think in them three games he started he was given the opportunity to shine as the whole team was poor. same with gomis his only game was away at Barnsley where he played ok as a welcomer to English 2nd tier football.

Wherever he ends up if I was to bump into a fan of that club and an opinion of that player was to be asked all I would honestly be able to say was "he was never really given a chance".
