That's the reason things were switched to clapping. There can't be many people enjoy clapping over the ultimate respect of silence.
But in a tribal atmosphere when some are fired up on disco biscuits, colombian marching powder or a pint of beer, some people can't control themselves. So clapping is sadly the best solution.

I went for 3-2 to Southampton at the start of the game and I'm sticking with that, even though Sheff Wed looked impotent first half.
