Any comments on Sheffield Wednesday's George Baldock? He was reportedly proposed to us and we're seriously consy his case.

Not that you care about the Championship anymore, but Baldock is still pretty much the favourite for the RB position over here. He also took Greek nationality (his grandmother is Greek or something like that), and he's a starter for the national team tonight.

He's a good player, but plays for Sheff United rather than Wednesday, and that's important as Sheff Utd have a lot more money than Wednesday. He's an important part of their side so I think you'll get priced out of it (I think they'll want £10m+).

Yeah, got my Sheffields mixed up. There's no way we'll pay 10m for a RB. If one trusts the media, they're asking for 2 or 3m. He was very impressive in the playoff match against you.

If that £2m figure is in any way accurate Forest should be all over it.

I don't see it. Sheff Utd still have parachute payments. He's a capable player at Championship level, absolutely no need to replace him. If they sell him it's just more work they have to do to build a sqaud to go back up, so if he's sold it's going to have to be for a big fee.

Sunderland have already sold over 28,000 season tickets, impressive

Not unsurprising though. They are a big side with supporters starved of success. Like us they could have sold many more tickets for the playoff final.

We know the relief of escaping the horror that is League 1. The Championship is like a breath of fresh air.

Just looking at this image.

There is not many "big" clubs left in the Championship. League One almost has bigger clubs. Would have been even more dramatic had Sunderland not gone up. It is in a weird spot. The clubs mentioned there, 4 of the 6 have a half empty stadium every week and seems like the bigger clubs have either all gone up or gone down.

Are Norwich a smaller club than Blackburn(attendances don’t suggest that)?

If Sunderland get drawn in to a cryptowanker buyout saga I think I’d have to retire from being a football fan. It couldn’t get any better.

Unbelievable news about Bassini and Birmingham... that he could get anywhere near a football club is staggering and appalling.... while many of us have defended or at least been sympathetic to the EFL in their dealings with Derby - to allow this to happen if true is hugely damaging

The "fit and proper persons" test is a bag of shite anyway. If you have proof of funds from somewhere, you're in. Unfortunately Bassini won't be the last shady individual to be allowed to own a football club.

Blackburn have hired Jon Dahl Tomasson as manager.

That is a very interesting appointment.

Won the league with Malmo in Sweden at his first attempt, and he’s considered a progressive, forward-thinking coach.
