Michael O'Neill at Stoke has been sacked after just 5 games.

Dyche would be a shoe-in there.

I'd have to agree with that sacking.

When he took over at Stoke, they looked full of promise and were hard to beat. They also did us over in that horrible final game of the season which saw us out of the playoffs.

Since then, he's had a couple of seasons and finished lower mid-table in both. Started this season poorly.

Not sure he can have any complaints. For a team that was Premier League not long before that, they should be doing better.

Its true, I saw Blackpool fans basically a bit annoyed that Bowler being potentially sold so late gave them little time to bring in a replacement and other signings and it was a bit if a reality check. Had we not gone up then that would be us discussing spending the "Johnson money" and maybe the "Worrall money" too.

Some rumours that Alex Neil could leave Sunderland for Stoke, seems unlikely but with his weird short term rolling contract situation he might be tempted to secure a proper contract somewhere

Something about Alex Neil I really don't like.

He seems like a dour man that plays dour football. At least with Warnock, Rowett even Pulis you got a bit of personality with the dour football.

If you're going to pay compensation for another club's manager, you'd hope for someone a bit more inspiring than Alex Neil.

I'd feel extremely underwhelmed if I was a Stoke fan, what is the point in sacking Michael O'Neill if you are just going to replace him with someone like him?

Stoke are like Middlesborough in that they won't modernise. They both always back their managers and give them lots of time but seem to just hire managers that play out of date football that just really isn't effective.
