The SkyBet Championship

Huge game on Tuesday night, when Ipswich go to Coventry. Get at least a point there, and it's in their own hands against Huddersfield next Saturday.

The Premier League is absolute shite.
For 2 seasons I have not enjoyed the football we have played, apart from the odd few games.
The Premier League isn't a competition...
There's nothing here for the likes of us, except season upon season of watching us discover rare talent, have it for 1 or 2 seasons before we are forced to sell it on.
And the antics of this season over criticising refs. VAR, accusing all and sundry of being unconsciously biased against, taking them to appeals (and probably the High Court) will result in the powers that be punishing us season after season until Mrinakis is obliged to either bend the knee and beg forgiveness, or to sell the club.
For the likes of us, the Championship is competitive, and we have a chance of winning more games than we lose.
Maybe we will even bring a few Nottingham lads through the Academy to have successful careers in the First team.
The future is bright: the future is the Championship!

When my sons were small and I still believed I could groom them into Forest fans I had to make adjustments to our model of enjoyment.

We had to take pleasure from goals because wins were rare, Championship-L1 era.

Eventually, my oldest son who was more geeky-war-hammer than footy, said he didn't want to go anymore because the ratio of goals against was greater than goals for.

Obviously wins are more important, but sometimes you have to find the other stuff but even that can be in short supply, even in the 'more competitive leagues'

What young kid will want to go to see Forest losing more often than not and see his/her favourite players merely passing through on route to a bigger club?
Attracting new young fans in the Prem is going to be increasingly difficult (and we'll lose 'em when they reach 17 anyway, as the price of the ticket will rocket overnight.
I will continue to buy my season ticket and attend every home game I can until either I am simply priced out of the market, or am too infirm to attend.
That's because I started going to see Forest when football was a sport, and Forest were a team playing attractive football and my heroes weren't Johnny-come-lately fly-by-night mercenaries.

Young fans are far more likely to want to watch the worlds best players beat us every week than watch us bobbling up and down the Championship.

Doing a Brighton is still possible. 15th, 17th, 15th and 16th in their first four seasons. If they got into Europe, so can we. Even though it seems a million miles away right now.

Nuno recently got Wolves up to 6th also.

The only way we keep young players in the Championship is if they aren’t very good. Anybody half decent will be poached before they make the first team. Johnson was the anomaly, not the rule.

The game has changed and changed for the worse. Unless you live in Africa or Asia (for example) and follow whatever team is successful.

It feels like the snowman in the old Pixar film, whatever we try, you know we will still end up back where we started.

Why are news outlets making it seem like Fester getting promoted is some fairytale - biggest budget, largest wage bill. Only took them until the penultimate game because they almost messed it up

I hope the EPL decide upon a juicy points deduction upon receipt of the PL share
