I think Southampton have too much to do for automatic promotion-it looks like 2 out of
Leicester,Leeds and Ipswich.
My Leicester friend had his doubts today (even before they lost at Bristol City).

Yes, Southampton needed to avoid that late equaliser today. Could still do it but may have to settle for 4th.
I have a soft spot for Southampton after I lost my wallet in the Wembley car park at the league cup final, was given a ticket by a friendly policeman and still managed to watch the glorious victory, and later found a Saints fan had found the wallet and handed it in to the police - it came back safe and sound.
Then my daughter betrayed the cause by becoming a Rams fan! I'd taken her to a couple of City Ground games but I was also into astrology and she knew her Sun sign was Aries. Luckily, she went off Derby when they got relegated (maybe it was the 11 point season!), and for some reason chose Southampton (I think they had a striker who was seen as 'fit' by her peer group).
They also have a logo which includes a tree and water, so they have to be OK.
Looks like they've blown automatic this season though, I agree.
