I get the negativity borne of experience thing. There is always, always, the strong possibility we will lose crunch games. But it kind of ignores all the times we didn’t, in fact, lose them.

Look: if I post positive thoughts and we don't win I will be plunged into the pit of despair.
If I post negative thoughts, and we win, I'll be deleriously happy.
But if I post negative thoughts and we live up to those negative thoughts, I won't be any deeper in the pit of despair.
One needs to try and keep mood swings to a minimum.
Specially now the vallium has run out

True, but given that the last couple of decades have mostly been pretty crap, the poor performances have hugely outnumbered the good!

Ahh, but won't you be happier now being optimistic?

Would that make you any more unhappy if we lose?

Tbf, who am I to criticise any coping mechanisms a Forest fan has developed over the long decades.

Big Dave in the Village told me he was going to go out for a long, long walk today.
No phone, no radio.
Simply because he can't cope with the stress of the game.
Now, that is someone who can't cope and I worry about his mental health...

When we got promoted from league 1 I did the same in the second half.

Walked around for an hour until it was over.

I'm better now.

I just have a lot to drink pregame.

I have decided not to drink alcohol pre-match or during the game.
It does make me tend to be overly aggressive...
So, I have just downed 2 rounds of haslet sarnies (with brown sauce), and am supping cup of tea from my Forest 29/5/22 commemorative mug.

I admire your confidence that Burnley will not catch us.
They go to inconsistent Man U next.
Burnley suddenly grabbing a couple of wins recently, fighting for survival, against Man U, who may have either got an FA Cup final as their sole chance of getting silverware/European competition next season, or could be gutted if they lose v Coventry today.
If we need to get anything from our last game of the season to avoid us going down and them staying up I don't know if we have the minerals to get the points.

Only chance is if Burnley don't get 3 more points before their last game and Luton don't get 1 single point.

We're on to lose all 4 at the moment.

It's a big challenge now. Not impossible, but really difficult. We need some points back this week on appeal, which feels very unlikely

No we're not.

Don't talk fuckin daft.
If these lot get any more points it will be through sheer luck than judgement.

Blindly ignoring what has been unfolding right infront of our eyes for the last 2 years and expecting things to suddenly change is the definition of being daft.

Last 2 years? You do remember how we finished last season?

Again.

I get we're emotional.

But don't talk daft.

We've been picking points up & were robbed by VAR today. We also tend to raise our game Vs the big teams & have 2 teams below us away. Talk of not getting another point is daft.

I would have preferred to say that we swung and missed here, but honestly, aside from the Wood save and Morgan's miss, we never really threatened. Can point to not getting penalties and things but once again, we were in a game, in the ascendancy and ran out of steam.

There is individual quality in this team, we all know it but as a unit, they're f***ing shocking. Some of that blame has to go on the players themselves because when you don't do the fundamentals it's no good, some of it has to go on the recruitment team to where we're relying on shite like Origi, Reyna and Ribeiro to change a game for us but mostly, I just think we're really poorly coached.

This will go to the final day but it wouldn't surprise me if we're in the relegation zone trying our way claw out. From what I've seen today, the players have the quality but not the desire for a scrap. Everton have one hand on safety now, especially if they get any points back soon.

For those who think we're definitely staying in the league, Luton and Burnley are going to go kicking and screaming before they are relegated. Can you honestly say that about us?

EM’s kicking and screaming-the players not so much.

Let's actually break it down, Forest have picked up 2 points away this year, one of them against Luton. 3 wins in 36! To expect any different whoever we are playing is what's f***ing daft.

On current form, I wouldn't expect a single one vs Burnley.

Sheffield away, again cudda, shuda, wouda, VAR, bent referees blah blah, you know the script.

We do pick up points at home, but any expectation of one vs City has to be the height of blind optimism.

That leaves Chelsea, could be anyone's guess but probably a point at best.

If you are confidently expecting a win or 2 from this bunch in the remaining games, then good on you, I personally don't and if we get one it will be a pleasant surprise.

We start off slowly, let the oppo get the confidence, can't keep a clean sheet to save our lives. We give a goal or 2 away per game, each goal scored is a struggle, soon to followed by pissing the lead away.

If after all this you are confident then fair play, let's agree to disagree.

I was confident last season as well.

The knicker wetters on here weren't.

Turned out ok.

Let's wait & see eh lad.
