3 wins or 2 wins and a few draws will probably be enough this season I reckon.

Problem is I don't see where those wins are coming from. The Palace game was the most winnable of our remaining home games so not winning that fixture is a huge blow. We could really do with wins against Fulham and Wolves at home, because I don't fancy us getting much away at all (even against Burnley and Sheffield United).

Luton and Everton's shitness (and the latter's points deduction) is the only thing keeping us alive at the moment. But we can't rely on that to continue for the rest of the season.

We can start by helping ourselves and actually pick our strongest XI, which means not leaving our better players on the bench and starting Origi and Sangare. If Nuno doesn't beat Fulham and gets sacked, then I've no sympathy for him as he really isn't helping himself with some of the bizarre decisions he makes.

Just had a look at the Fulham team sheet and subs bench and I fear for us on Tuesday if we play like that again.

Also for those saying that going away to Sheff Utd and Burnley will be easy because they may already be relegated by then...really !? Are we expecting them to not want to send us down as well ? Surely them playing without any pressure makes it worse for us ? I personally doubt they will be mathematically relegated by then anyway given the Everton points deduction and our inability to win.

Nuno deserves the sack for continually favoring Origi over other better players. He is truly awful and should have been sent back to Italy long ago.

Everton have to go to Newcastle on Tuesday, Luton go to Arsenal on Wednesday. Sheff Utd go to Liverpool on Thursday.

A win on Tuesday will be so important to us, not least as it puts pressure on the rest.

Huge game next weekend though, when Everton host Burnley.

Luton have only won five games all season and haven't won since January

Sorry if I'm being massively thick but I just don't understand why people think they are any better than us?
Because at the end of the season there's always some rubbish team that puts a little run together through sheer obstinacy and gets a couple of wins that makes the difference. And they are at home on the last day.

End of season has a different dynamic than most of the rest of the season too as some clubs go on their proverbial early holidays whilst other clubs may pivot to focusing on European success if they can no longer win the league/qualify for CL etc. Or some clubs just run out of steam having played too many games with a small squad.

Forest benefitted from that dynamic last year: Brighton were shot from their European campaign and Arsenal came to us having thrown away the title. Had Brighton not been in Europe and had Arsenal still had something to play for chances are we would have won neither game, and we'd have gone down had we not.

You do get the feeling that Luton Everton and Burnley are capable of a win or two.
We look a bit lethargic.
Need to put us balls on the line against the Cottagers.

Brighton weren’t in Europe last season-they were knackered against Forest after losing
on penalties after extra time against Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final the previous
Sunday.

We have a bigger dog than Luton.
The trouble is it is the smaller dogs - the Jack russell terriers - that have all the fight.
What we really need is a spell in the championship to properly prepare for promotion.
And we are likely to get it.

So what you are saying is staying up had nothing to do with Steve Cooper?

I agree about their quality Blondie, I think they're in it as deep as we are. But I also think they've a better run in than us now too.

All of their 4 remaining home games are against very beatable sides, whereas our 4 remaining home games I'd say has 1 very beatable side, 2 average sides, and 1 top side. Wolves and Chelsea travel decently too, so that doesn't help either.

FWIW I think we will pull out a shock win, Chelsea would be my bet, but I just think Luton are in the driving seat. They can still royally bodge it up though without a doubt.

It's unbelievable really the amount of points we have pissed up the wall this year if we even had 1/4 of those in the bag we'd be sitting pretty even with a points deduction the league this year is such a poor standard unfortunately so are we how we still have the chance to stay up is beyond me at this point but we have to take advantage of it Burnley are going to enter this survival race soon if we don't wake up

Forest 1-1 Burnley
Forest 1-1 Brentford
Palace 0-0 Forest
Forest 2-2 Luton
Forest 2-3 Brighton (10 men)
Forest 0-1 Everton
Forest 2-3 Bournemouth
Brentford 3-2 Forest
Bournemouth 1-1 Forest
Luton 1-1 Forest
Forest 1-1 Palace

7pts from this selection.

11 games here where you’d say “We should have a decent chance of winning this” and we’re failed to do so.

Depresses me looking at that I'd also add west ham away to that list

Because no-one else can get any points one win would make everything look different.
And it's the same for everyone.

Luton are not better than us, but their fight is greater than us, they can't hang on, but I think in one game they will for a.win.or draw. This is the difference with Forest I feel. They done look like taking the lead or able to win and this isn't helped by the manager setting them up from the start.

God, I'd love to know what the hell they do in training and behind the scenes because it sure ain't footy practice.

He still had to convert the opportunities.

But I don't deny our run in ended up favouring us when only a few games prior it looked daunting.

56 years old, seen the good times, bad times, promotions and relegations......this team stinks of relegation I'm afraid to say 🙁
My thoughts exactly, I've seen no evidence of a team up for a battle.

There's no bottle in this team. They're just going through the motions.
