Yes - then lost at League 3 Chesterfield in the next round.
Didn't Dyche play for Chesterfield back then?
And Kevin Davies. Dyche was the captain I think

The last direct free kick I recall us scoring was Tiago Silva v Bristol City just after Covid. I'm sure there have been others since.

I'd forgotten just how lovely he struck the ball
Woany on the left wing, with the more nuanced moves and set pieces, Steve Stone on the right wing, who was more of a battering ram, direct-style attacker, Lars Bohinen as the playmaker, Bryan Roy floating around and S.V. Collymore as unplayable as ever; that was a really fantastic Forest side.

And a defence that was a force to be envied. Either hoofed (legally) into the seats, or a CB who couldn't be beaten.

Still recall the Wednesday fans - after initially slaughtering their own team - applauding our last 3 goals when we stuck 7 past ‘em.

A good team but a bit too reliant on Collymore for my liking-when he left it started to
fall apart despite the fact we reached the UEFA Cup Quarter-Finals the following season without
him (we were fortunate to overcome Malmo and very lucky to beat Auxerre and finally took
a caning against Bayern Munich).Relegation followed the season after.
I always maintain the last really good team (in the true sense of the word) was the 1989 side
that played in the ill-fated game at Hillsborough-a joy to watch with some great players
but not over-reliant on one player.

So Everton's verdict for their second charge must be announced by 8 April.

The club may appeal the charge based on the fact they were able to reduce their initial 10 point charge on appeal, whilst pleading that they have received a separate point deduction this season for the same annual periods.

However, most people are predicting that Everton will receive a charge of 4 points, taking their total points deduction to 10 points. That would make the panel's decisions look reasonably fair, aligned with the same charge given to Forest for not following rules whilst at the same time fully co-operating with the hearing.

It would be good to get all of this sorted before the next set of Premier League fixtures on 30 March so everyone knows where they stand.

I read once that when Teddy (Edward) Sheringham joined Spurs he told Venables to buy Ian Woan because "He's got the sweetest left foot in football "
Nothing to do with them being best mates & Teddy being Woany’s best man at his wedding…

They wore great kits too. Wasn’t the yellow Jackson Pollock effort around that time?
