Looks like he fell down the stairs and was in ICU but has now died.

Real shame to die at 35, was a great player and came across as a really nice guy.

I think it is best not speculate about the cause: he has a family that are grieving his loss.
Let's just concentrate on the sad fact that a gifted footballer, whom I would have loved to see in a Forest shirt, has died at a tragically young age.

I don't think his death has been confirmed yet whilst we're on the subject of speculation!

Isn't the part about speculating a bit ironic when his death hasn't even been confirmed by any reputable sources?

I was saddened to see the ticker tape on screen I didn't think to check.

I do want to make it clear that I unreservedly apologise to Peter Whittingham's family, friends, and anyone to whom unintentional distress has been caused for starting this thread. .
Hopefully the unconfirmed reports prove to be wrong.
