Re: Lollipop

Playing style a cross between Robert Snodgrass and Tom Ince?

Re: Lollipop

Looks like he tries to make things happen.

We’ve been used to seeing the majority of our players just playing it safe all game with no creativity or penetration.

Hopefully he’ll make a big difference in the same team as Dowell.

Re: Lollipop

Good player, direct and likes to run at people.

Will of course be ruined when the NFFC mob jeer him off. Against Fulham.

New signing Joe Lolley said the long-term ambition of Nottingham Forest was a big factor in him signing for the club.

The winger has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract after joining from Huddersfield Town and is eager to begin his Forest career.

He said: "I am delighted to sign. It is a big club with great ambitions and I am really looking forward to getting started.

"The club speaks for itself; everyone knows the history of the club and the manager as well was a massive attraction with the ambition. Long-term, it is a great club to be at."

The 25-year-old said the chance to work with Aitor Karanka was also a massive pull in signing for an undisclosed fee.

"As soon as I got the call to say that the manager was interested in me it was an easy decision," he added. "I have spoken to people who have worked with him before and they have only had good words to say about him. He has a great track record and hopefully we can continue that here.

"I have played in the Championship for three or four seasons and had plenty of games. It is a tough league; anyone can beat anyone but hopefully we can come out on top most weeks.

"I had a good win here and a bad loss previously but the atmosphere was always brilliant. The crowd gets behind the team and I can't to play in front of the fans."

Re: Lollipop

he was signed from non-league by huddersfield , he's hardly going to be on top wages in huddersfield.

Those words make me feel even more positive about the future.

You can sense that Karanka is a good, well respected, no-nonsense manager in the football world. And players will all talk and text each other and word gets around easily.

It's all beginning to feel a lot better and so much more professional already.

Re: Lollipop

Their fans sound really disappointed he is leaving.

Think @BryanRoy22 comparison of Snodgrass/Ince is a good one.

Ince is f***ing toss.

Re: Joe Lolley!

Strange we've not heard anything about the price. Usually, even though it's undisclosed, you get the "thought to be in the region of xyz" "rumoured to be around xyz"

Re: Joe Lolley!

At least now he'll get to wear a shirt that as stars on it that mean something.

Other than the Championships Huddersfield won under Herbert Chapman, you mean?

Football only started in 1992 then?

Re: Joe Lolley!

We've won a championship we didn't put any stars on the shirt. Man Utd wouldn't have any room for sponsors if that's the criteria

No, what Man United would probably do is adopt the Italian system, with a star for ten Scudettos, as Juventus have?
