Re: Lansbury

Billy is a clever man. It's been said that Billy turned down the chance to sign Lansbury a couple of times when he was last here. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if that's because of who was doing the recommending and the fact Billy would obviously rather choose his own players.

But I think it's smart to make a deal out of Lansbury to build him up, because he's not only an asset and good player, but also because (speculating) if he's aware Billy didn't want him previously, you couldn't blame him for being unsure about his position now. Though he can look to Earnshaw as to what happens so long as you put your work in.

Re: Lansbury is going be a ...

Really? All the people around me were loving him. I was undecided but I am starting to really see some very promising signs.

 especially after he gave the ball away, something like "He's shit and shouldn't be in the team" the twats still cheered when he scored though and set up the others.

Re: Lansbury

He clearly did otherwise Billy wouldnt make a special effort with him.

How do you know Billy made a special effort with him, have you been attending the training sessions? Maybe he just pulled his socks up a bit and thought he's got a fresh chance under a new manager.

If you've watched any games before Billy came in it should have been fairly obvious that Henri's problem wasn't confidence, far from it; it was using that confidence in his own ability in the right situations. That's part of "match fitness" - it's not all about aerobic fitness and a large part of building up match fitness is the decision making process. Henri was a bit sluggish previously, though, and this in turn probably hampered his decision making.

If we do sign a pacy right winger , where are you going to play lansbury ?! Geddy & Raddy should be first pick in the center of midfield. Nobody in midfield really does what Raddy does in linking up play and keeping the ball moving along.

He's come out in interviews after the 'Uddersfield game and said he had a 'quiet word' and gave both Radi and Henri a 'kick up the backside' which they both needed.

I slated this lad the other week, and slowly Im eating my words letter by letter. 2 Good games isn't great considering all season but whatever Billy's doing, its working. I hope it continues and I may even admit he's alright if it does.

Lansbury Out. We want our Boateng back!

Jesus, did Steve McLaren actually sign and play George Boateng?

It's difficult to comprehend how shit Steve McLaren was.

He played very, very well again today and took had goal excellently, by being in exactly the right place at the right time.

He's coming good!

Needed someone to point him in the right direction, previous managers obviously didn't do that. Becoming one of the first names on the team sheet now.

He was always going to peak after Xmas, with games.

Another very good performance.

Just stumbled across Lansbury's missus on twitter. I must declare I'm a huge fan of her voluptuous breasts.

I'd drive him there. He's been a total flop, and in my opinion was the one player too many in summer that bloated the squad. He's got talent, and I'm sure he'd be quality at Millwall, but he's just one of those players who never fitted in at Forest IMO.

Not a smug "told you so post" Weasel, but hopefully you can you now appriciate a bit more why you give young players more than a handful of games to prove themselves.

I'm so glad that we didn't sell him to Milwall it's unreal, and he's still not hit top form IMO.
