James Nursey is not bad as Mirror writers go, I doubt he had much to do with gleaming this information though and suspect he has just been told to pen this, some journalists got time with Clark today but I saw him tweeting about being with McLeish.

Michael Knighton. And it was Man United.

He was a bullshitter of quite staggering repute.

Didn't he buy Carlisle and said it was because it had good transport links and no other clubs close by? Not quite Man U are they?

Well, if we do get new owners, and Cotterill is still our manager with some $$ to spend, I'm curious of who he brings him.
There's been a lot of disappointments this season, but to be fair to him, the loan players he has brought in has been very good.
If he can find and sign similar quality, then well done... McClarens' signings has been shockingly poor compared to the loan players.

And now FFP looks to have been put on hold - could be very interesting.

HAHAHA!

Some of us have been saying from the start that this would happen.

Do you think radio nottm could get pelling in againM

In june there will be the likes of wolves and possibly blackburn or bolton or qpr and potentially the likes of west ham.

Clubs with that sort of money and a need to get back in the prem, are possibly going to further hinder the ffp proposals.

As i said when they were announced, i doubt they will go through in thier current form as all the clubs had agreed to do was look into the idea. They had never agreed to any concrete proposals, and all they were doing was drafting a set of guidelines which the clubs could still block.

It'll be interesting to see where ffp will go from here

Pep would be the best signing in years if we could afford him.

No FFP is good news for the big spenders - let's hope our new owners want to throw silly money at us. Ideally, half a billion on a new stadium and top class players. I'm not asking for much..

We will probably have "Premiership 2" before FFP; an eighteen Premier League and an eighteen team PL2 would create a concentration of all the money, and allow these clubs to jettison the rest of the football league.

Which to be honest is something they've been trying to do for years.

Maybe Forest didn't get the memo telling them it was being put on hold?

Apparently the US consortium is headed by Bill Gates and the Arab consortium is led by the Sultan of Brunei, both desperate to outbid each other, according to a daydream I had earlier.

I was talking to a man whose name you would all know and who I think is still on the Football League board or at least moves in very high circles with the football top brass. He told me the only penalty for failing to adhere to FFP was to be disbarred from entering European competitions which, given its likelihood, is hardly a factor in curbing spending by the likes of Fester and, potentially, Forest. He also said that if money was paid into the club as share capital, rather than a loan, then it didn't breach the rules anyway.
