I actually quite like Steve Claridge as far as pundits go. That's not saying much really though.

100 times better than Holloway.Oh I hope I never have to put up with him being a pundit again!

I would suggets that it was Ipswich getting the extended highlights via the Sir Bobby link, Leicester just happened to be the weeks opponents.

Main problems with the show..

1) Clubs in games arn't represented fairly. From that show, an outsider would assume West Brom battered us and we weren't up to much, espicially after they read out that email that was against Rob Earnshaw.

2) They can't decide before a ball is kicked which games will have the extended highlights?? Even if we were playing Derby, I'd think it completely fair if they decided last minute to pick a game between say Barnsley and Plymouth if it was by far the better game to watch. We all get some coverage anyway..

3) The bit where they cut to the woman remind me of f***ing crimewatch. Presented by a childrens television presenter.

I think they are better at choosing the highlights than ITV who had it set in stone and wouldn't change it. Remember the FA Cup 3rd round? We got f*** all because they expected it to be a routine win for Citeh, and as such allocated zero resources to make a change if necessary

Thats true about the City Cup game, but in all honesty the exact same situation here.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for The program in general as its long overdue.. There are 72 other league clubs in this country that have long awaited this oppotunity.

Just got around to watching this on iPlayer.

Same criticisms as last week really, I'm not particularly interested in hearing Manesh and Claridge swapping cliches and that godawful patronising bint reading out emails and texts from mostly idiots.

It also does seem odd that they chose to have such extensive highlights of Les-dar v Ipshit given not that much happened in the game.

There's a number of reasons.. any kind of phone-in/call-in thing do have a disproportionate number of twonks participating in them (speaking as a former regular matchtalk caller lol ), indeed, a high proportion of football fans are twonks, and they will probably pick out the more twonkish ones to read out as it stimulates discussion about the show.
