The demise of Premiership clubs in Europe.

Charged because their fans booed the anthem...

Have I read that right?

There are some very fragile egos at UEFA.

I probably wouldn't have cared much about this either way, but now I hope the fans of all English clubs boo the anthem in the next set of games.

Good on them for booing a piece of music. Just who, apart from a load of money trousering crooks, are they supposed to have offended?

Handel was probably a bit upset.

There was me just thinking it was a stupid song that they played before champions league matches and the ad breaks on TV. It reminds me of the movie Rollerball with the silly corporate anthem.

The Seville fans were also booing it alongside the City fans, apparently, which I find quite nice.

I don't really watch the competition so don't know how long they've had to stand there in a line while that music plays. But I was cringing at the pretentious bollockness of it all when I switched BT Sport on on Tuesday. They stand as if we're about to hear the national anthems and then they play the Champions League tune. I was embarrassed for football.
