These guys say all kinds of nasty shit to each other on the pitch. You people know that. I though the hearing was bs. I find it rather odd that only marquee players say racist crap to each other. Please.

Anyways, a couple of brain dead bookends. One of SAF's great achievements was getting Rio to play within himself. Generally, a stupid center back is a recipe for disaster, but Rio is an elite athlete, and that allowed him to become, at one point in time, one of the best center backs in the game. That one season where he was just absolute shit was brilliant. I took great joy in watching Rio's f*** ups that year.

Anton, an even bigger thicko with little ability. That bs he pulled where he lied to his club (West Ham at the time?) to go to NYC for his b-day was just ridiculous. INsignificant punk.

It still amuses me that everything would have been fine if Terry had shouted, 'you f***ing ****'. It's only if you insert the word 'black' that it suddenly becomes offensive. :LOL:

I suppose there are also mardy sulks like Wenger who refuse to shake other manager's hands post match. So it's not just the players that revel in the playground antics.

Personally, I don't see why they need to shake hands with the opposition until after the game.

Whats got lost in all this, is that anton ferdinand was abusing John Terry in the first place- but somehow thats acceptable.

So its not like Anton Ferdinand is some lovely guy, who was just minding his own business, before mean old john terry decided to be nasty to him.

Both ferdinands are dickheads too, just as much as terry. The irony of Rio thinking its acceptable to use racial terms like "choc ice" is even more hillarious.

I find it amazing that it is Anton Ferdinand making the fuss and not John Terry!

Whatever we think Happened the point is John Terry has been proved to not be racist by the courts and that is 10 times a more reliable thing to look at then any other persons opinion. I personally fully believe there was no wrong doing by Terry and the right verdict was given.

Ferdinand puts Terry through all that and then has the nerve to make a fuss about potentially having to shake his jand. He didn't hear anything and I find it shameful that no punishment has been brought to him for making false accusations and making this whole drama of what was proved to be nothing.

The court couldn't prove that John Terry had racially abused Anton Ferdinand. Which would always be the case if it's one person's word against another's. It didn't prove that John Terry isn't a racist.

Whatever actually happened, Anton clearly believes that the abuse from John Terry was racial, and feels strongly enough not to shake his hand. That's his choice.

Wow...i seen the goal of the season already..Simon Cox of Nottingham Forest took a ball out the sky, 2 keepy uppys and dispatched it nicely!

Don't have a problem with Rio at all, he hasn't been a Prima Donna for about 8 years and considering how he has been treated by England in recent years it could have been very easy for him to really have a dig at people in high up places.

Why are everyone having a go at the Ferdinand's, they may be plonkers, but when you look at it, the common denominator with all the handshake problems is nearly always John Terry, first with Bridge and now this. The only other refusal was Evra I think with that Scouse team that are never to blame for anything, other than that, it's always John Terry.

I'm not interested in individuals re: this. As you say it isn't always to do with one person. Just stop the pre-match handshakes then there wouldn't be this play ground obsession with who's snubbing who.

Why, how many thousands of games as this happened with respect, without problem? How many times as it been a problem, 3 or 4 times? Usually with John Terry. The handshake is not a problem, one or two individuals are the problem.
