I just think when we get in the final 3rd him being right footed really restricts us, his natural instinct is to cut inside onto his favoured foot, which isn't helped by the fact the CHO wants to do the same thing, so countless times we get into a good position and have to play ourselves into a worse position simply because neither wants to cross with their left foot.
That's a very good point in fairness, especially when CHO is playing.

I think he's more inclined to use his left than CHO though, the way he mugged Walker off was hilarious :ROFLMAO:

I think when he signed we all were a bit meh about him being able to operate on both sides but I'd be inclined to keep him there.

It's why I think CHO looked more dangerous with Tavares behind him. When CHO goes to cut inside, if the left-back is marauding down the outside the defender has a decision to make. If he over commits to CHO coming inside then he can play the ball back outside and the left back whips the ball over, if the defender doesn't over commit then CHO can use the left back as a dummy runner, giving him more space to cut inside.

100% agree.

A new LB a small priority for us next year.

Aina and Williams challenging for RB slot, new guy and Toffolo for left back slot.
Agreed, Aina is clearly very capable of playing LB but for me is there out of necessity. I'd like to see him on a consistent basis on his natural side and if we could somehow get a similarly good player for the left (please not Tavares) then we'd really be cooking with gas.

Fair point. Often enough then?
5 times it seems.

Once in September - Man City
Thrice in November - Villa, West Ham, Brighton
Once in December - Fulham

Much as I love toffolo - he seems a model professional and youngsters should use him as a role model - I don't think he will be first choice at this level.
If we do get relegated he will be a real asset.
I probably see Aina leaving if we get relegated, and Toffolo would become 1st choice.
