Not sure he was in the same age range Coops was looking after, he played throughout the youth teams though so SC was probably aware of him though.

Fits the bill and has the Nigeria link with Awoniyi too.

Plays left and right full or wing back. Makes sense this one and according to FM, has good pace.

From the looks of it he is comfortable at both wingbacks and isn’t a key contributor for Torino (started 17/38 games).

Could be reasonably cheap then and the perfect player to genuinely push anyone else we sign on both flanks, but also be a real assets on the bench if he is unable to win a starting role

Looks like he mainly played on the left last season according to that transfer market link above. Probably a backup signing?

Could see a situation where we sign Neco as our primary fullback target and then this guy and another cheaper LB (Toffolo/Vazquez maybe).

If we make lots of money out of it who cares? That's where we are, for a while at least.

If he moves onto bigger and better things it means he has done a good job for us too.

I meant stay at Valencia another season, he's indicated that's his preference (though we've all heard that before).

Otherwise I agree, our MO should still be to develop talent and sell it on, just at a higher level now.

Yeah I think it’s likely he sticks around at Valencia. Although if they keep Gaya, a pay rise and a chance to play in the prem would be enticing

I like Aina, good player. He’d be useful and versatile player for both wingback sides. Also played in Fulham’s back three when he was there on loan two years back.

Is he an alternative to one of the other guys we are going after in case those fall through? Or just a depth piece? Either way, could be a solid fit here.

Spence looks spurs bound for real this time and we had a bid rejected for Williams.

With this guy and Toffolo linked the next day do you all reckon we are done with Williams?

I think we need at least 3 wing backs; two starters and one as cover.

I'm not optimistic that we'll get Williams however.

No.
Liverpool‘s response strongly suggested that our bid was ‘in the ballpark’ & just needed tweaking - possibly with a bigger up front payment & less reliance on add ins.
Sounded very much like a buying signal to me.

It does seem interesting that both Aina and Kabore get articles a day or so after the bid was rejected.

With the knowledge that Fulham are looking elsewhere, could be Forest encouraging Liverpool to play ball at their offer, or risk Forest moving on aswell
