I've checked the Premier league in general for signing activity so far and its given me a bit of comfort. Apart from maybe Kluivert at Bournemouth and Lerma now at Palace I don't see any of the transfer activity from the bottom 10 teams that would have been game changers or push to get in our starting 11.

Arsenal - ins 3 outs 2 plus one released
Villa - ins 2 outs 2
Bournemouth - ins 3 (One loaned straight out one signing a loan from last season) outs 3 frees
Batshitfansford - ins 3 (One loan last season, one reserve keeper) outs - 4
Brighton ins 5 outs 1 so far
Burnley ins 5 (One loan from last year) outs 2
Chelsea - ins 3 outs 10
Palace - ins 1 outs 4
Everton - ins 1 outs 4
Fulham - ins 0 outs 5 plus loss of 3 loans
Scouse - ins 2 outs 4 for £0
Luton - ins 3 outs 3
City - ins 1 outs 2 plus Mendy
Wankers - ins 1 outs 4
Newcastle - ins 2 outs 3
Us - ins 1 outs loads
Blunts - ins 3 outs 3
Spuds ins 4 (2 loans from last year) outs 2
Westham - ins 0 outs 3
Wolves - ins 2 outs 4

Yep there’s still 6 weeks left yet. As long as we get the goalkeeper position sorted in the next 2-3 weeks I reckon most activity will happen after the season starts.

Spurs apparently eyeing that Pedro guy as a replacement for Kane.

Rumour: 26yr, Forward, Senegal, Salernitana, Boulaye Dia is linked with Everton & Nottingham Forest. Sky Italia is reporting that Dia has a £21M release clause that expires Thursday evening. #NFFC

IF TRUE ...looks proper decent but can't expect us to act decisively and swoop before expiry...even if we've been monitoring him for years as the article says.

More importantly; does he have a Visa?

Reliable sources like John Percy and Daniel Taylor have been quiet for a while now when it comes to Forest news, only rumours seem to be coming from dodgy channels with no substance.

Actual footage of Ross Wilson at work, buzzing around with agents and moneyball charts and the phone ringing off its hook.

Does anyone on this forum have any idea what Ross Wilson does on a daily basis or how close he is to sealing a transfer, how many he's working on, what stage they are at, any sponsorship discussions that are ongoing, have been turned down, or actually anything? Amazing that we've decided he's useless. Let's sign 10 crap players immediately though, seems that will please many.

His record at Southampton and Rangers doesn’t present an optimistic picture.
I don’t think his appointment will end well for Forest.

I'm surprised you could be arsed to write all that to be honest Ross.

Just got to hope Wilsons lack of activity and poor performances with previous employers doesn't cost Cooper his job, after all Cooper has to polish the turd Wilson shits out if he ain't very good

That’s a concern for me too,Barry.
I personally don’t trust Wilson.

Why is that Cloughie? The most important person, EM, clearly does or surely he wouldn't have employed him to carry out the role?

My own view - for what little it's worth - is that a lot of work is going on in the background which, quite rightly, supporters aren't receiving a running commentary about.

I'm not privy to the complex process of signing the right players from other clubs, but I can't imagine it's as easy as many of us would like to think.

Clearly everyone is on edge about transfers but it is clear there is a bit of a back room overhaul going on with a lot more roles being created and filled both on the coaching staff and infrastructure.

Personally I felt that was something that needed to be addressed urgently. As someone mentioned previously, pep has about 80 staff collecting medals. We didn’t replace our head physio and only had a handful of coaches which must have played a factor in poor injury and set piece records etc.

Surely you should have separate groups- one working on sorting out backroom staff & one on recruitment. It shouldn't need to be a case of sorting one then the other.

Certainly didn't seem that difficult for the last 2 recruitment regimes. And we're talking players we'd be very happy with signing right now- Moussa, Orel, MGW, Felipe, Danilo, Hendo, Taiwo, Neco, Serge etc....
Without any clue of how much money EM has sanctioned for player recruitment during this window, I'd argue that we had a considerably bigger budget to work with during those windows for the obvious reason that a fundamental squad re-build was urgently required following our surprise promotion. My guess is that Wilson and Cooper have a list to rightly increase the quality within the squad that they're sticking with, and are having to be patient with the process.

I've no doubts that Ross Wilson can go out and sign any number of players that will satisfy the malcontents among the fanbase but won't improve the quality.
