It's getting to thar stage where we need to start seeing something happening. We're only 3 and a bit weeks away from the first game as we currently look significantly weaker than we did at the end of last season.

Hopefully we're not left again in a situation where we're trying to get 5+ signings to gel, after the season has already started.

Though the idea of getting 5 players in at any point seems pretty remote atm!

We have more people that are already 'gelled' than at the start of last season but we are unsure who is going to be staying (and haven't got a clue who is coming) so we are stronger than the start of last season but currently worse than the end of last season (due to people leaving).

However it only takes a few good quality signings, starting with Hendo, plus those back from injury, to be an improvement on the end of last season.

Trying to stay positive listening to the Angel on my shoulder as opposed to the mass panic Devil on the other! :)

No need to panic. Unless we don't replace Lodi and Navas/Henderson. Then panic.

Otherwise holding out for the right 3 or 4 deals (on top of GK/LB) to strengthen the squad is the way to go this time. I expect the ins and outs to go on well into late August.

Usually I’d be panicking now but it feels like nobody has really got any deals over the line.

If we haven’t signed anybody by the 1st of August I will be smashing the panic button though.
