Am being told of a major press release tomorrow with (and this had clearly been carefully worded) up to five ‘pieces of business’ to announce.

I’m guessing it’s been worded that way so a contract renewal and a signing would each qualify as a ‘piece of business’ (potentially a departure would too).

2 new contracts (Johnson and Cooper), signing of Henderson confirmed, a new kit(s) and maybe a signing?

I can't really see another new signing other than Henderson tomorrow to be honest, it's not like the old days where all of a sudden a signing would be announced with perhaps 2 hours of twitter rumours beforehand. This is the big leagues now and each move is scrutinised x10 compared to the Championship, a PL club doesn't seem to be able to complete a deal without anything getting out and there hasn't really been anything out there about our targets for a little while...

I'd take that as a very good day, hopefully we do get 2 new signing and one isn't something like the new sponsor 😂😂

Steve Cooper, Brennan Johnson, Taiwo Awoniyi and Dean Henderson doing a massive conga out of the WFCG tunnel, waving their new contracts and wearing the new Forest kit, would be my guess?

Followed by Nicholas Randall, nursing a pint.

So we've got 1 or 2 IN and the 5 loanees, Samba and Figs OUT. I reckon that means we're 5 players down on last season and Coops and Brennan yet to sign new contracts. Didn't expect to be in that position with only 5 weeks to go until season starts. No left back, very short in central midfield, an extra central defender all required of a high quality. Testing times for the Owner and Club. I just pray they pass the test and that there is a huge amount going on behind the scenes to strengthen with quality.

If I read 1 more post on Notts Live about Henderson and all the other rubbish they post then I'm off to the funny farm for some respite.

The 3 year delay from Rushcliffe council in granting work improvements has pissed me right off. Imagine the feel good factor that’s been generated in the last 6 months and getting to the prem on top. Would’ve been great to be playing in the re-furbished ground. I don’t see it happening for 2 years at least.

I'd be shocked if Niakhate is announced tomorrow.

There's barely been any talk about him recently, other than talks have restarted. With our current status now there's much less chance we can push a deal through without anything being said on twitter etc.

It may still happen but highly unlikely to be tomorrow IMO

Yeah I'd be mightily surprised if there's anything other than has been discussed here - at the same time I'm not panicking - the timings are not great with the proximity of the start of the season but I'd expect most the new signings (and I'm sure they will be) will be another couple of weeks away, its all brinkmanship and bollocks at the moment unless you've go the cash to simply pay what's being demanded. Not ideal but its the reality of the situation.

Lol the club behaved appallingly with their initial meetings with the council and then has been more than happy with the delays.

Don’t most players contracts run until the end of June? With it being July now does that mean that all players’ contracts that end this year are now finished and there could be a surprise in there?
