Difficult to know how much of the transfer talk is real.
But the 5 subs probably starting to make coaches think about a side where you can reconfigure the tactics during a game and still be OK if an injury or two happens.
Puts a different perspective on a coach's thinking about the squad needs, I guess.

So with O'Brien and Toffolo we reach 10 signings.
After winning the play-off final and letting the dust settle for a bit, I suggested (along with several others) that we would need 10 or 11 signings to be able to compete in the Prem.
With Noddy and Big Ears secured we reach 10.
Hopefully we are saving the biggest and best to last.
Looking forward to tonight's friendly rather more than I was, evewn though I know not many of the 10 will actually play.

If we get Lingard then it is basically all about CM when thinking about our starting 11. We can add others as we see fit, but that position will be vital.

Only 2 proper ones in Surridge & Taiwo and still unsure about Taiwo. Brennan can play up top but for me he’s more of a wide striker.
5 subs would dictate we need more than just 3 proper options. We will need at least 2 on the bench every game.
I would be happy with Dennis or Davis.

Lyle Taylor getting plenty of pre season game time and by all accounts doing pretty well. Could he be considered a backup option or with only a squad of 25 and 3 keepers in that there’s no room for him?

I'm not sure if Hertha's limp showings against us & a piss-poor League 1 Derby offer us any insight into the quality of the Bundesliga.

It's a massively tall order for him to somehow force his way into the 25-man squad - to say the very least - but this would be the only opportunity that Taylor would have had in his entire career to have a shot at playing in the PL.........which means he's probably off to Sunderland on Monday

The amount of business we have done/are having to do, Dane will get to next season and be twiddling his thumbs. I don't think I have seen a club basically have to build a team from scratch before - and I think they are doing all the right things.
