Where did I say it was OK?

I said it wasn't unusual.

Personally I think it's a bit Kloppish to write a letter to PGMOL. 😳
Yeah, but whilst true, it‘s not like Forest can write to „Jim‘ll Fix It“ anymore, is it?

It’s a bit ******* that Toney was allowed to do that. It’s also a bit ******* that there seems to be something wrong every game, these referees are just plain awful at their jobs.

I think it is a bit pathetic to keep banging on about it. We need to learn from these dark arts and be on top of shit like this. We still lined our wall up, he moved the ball and we didn’t think to realign the wall despite it being ridiculously out of position.
It's disappointing but I think we were so disorganised nobody even noticed the ball being moved. The main reason being Turner had set his wall so badly to start with and Yates was arguing with him about it.

When corners are taken these days, the lino nearly always looks closely to see the ball is in or very near the quadrant.

I suppose putting the little blob of foam down serves the same purpose, that's where the ref says the ball should be, not a yard either side. Even if the player thinks the ref hasn't got the right spot, he's not in charge, the ref is. And I've heard Dermot Gallagher say often enough, the ref is in charge whether he's right or wrong. I know Dermot says that to get out of a tricky spot when the poor bloke has disappeared up his own arse, but I suppose within the Laws of the Game, he's right.

Didn't we have a game in the Championship where we had a goal disallowed when the wind blew the ball slightly out of the quadrant before Lolley took it? Can't remember when it was or who was it against, but I think the match finished 0-0 (a draw certainly). It was nitpicky and pissed us all off at the time, but it was the right decision by the letter of the law. Surely the spray/foam is doing the same thing, so it does annoy me how dismissive many in the media are about it.

I e watched a few games in recent weeks with no VAR and the game flowed so much better.
Agreed. I can cope with a bad decision, but so many Prem refs just refuse to make the big decisions thinking the safety net of VAR will get them of trouble if they've f**ked up too much. It affects players too. I think that's why Wood got himself booked against Blackpool when he was flagged offside and he shot anyway, probably just trained himself to carry on in the position as VAR will always look at it.

I think it was Worrall scoring against Barnsley

We had it on. What a ****, was it me or was he putting on a Scottish accent to be like John Anderson?

f***ing narcissist
Maybe. But the best referee England has produced in decades. And, imho, one of the ten best referees I have ever seen. Never looked out of his element.

If a restart is doing incorrectly you leave yourself wide open to the post match assessor ripping you a new one. I can guarantee Darren England got roasted for what Toney did. IT was wrong, it was blatant cheating, and he should have been caught, and Toney should have been booked.

This is 100% correct. Toney cheated, ref didn't catch it. But how did we adjust? Yates was on the end of the wall and he should have been smart enough to move the wall. Obviously, he wasn't. Naive in the extreme.

I actually know the bloke that ran onto a Chester game and got the ref by the throat many years ago! It was a bit stupid but then he wasn't the sharpest tool in the box.

As an aside, I see that a game in Belgium is going to be replayed, as VAR messed up!
It's entirely coincidental but the other team in that game was Anderlecht.....

Condoning violence towards referees solves absolutely nothing and, in fact, makes it far less attractive for many to continue. That idiot from Port Vale should never be allowed into a ground again. I red carded a coach last night. His brother is a capped international for Canada. Next......

Yeah it is a really tough job and fair play to anyone who does it. For me I can forgive a ref a mistake, they have the tech now to help them out but the rules makers higher up and the people implementing VAR badly are making things even worse. Which is insane when you think about it.
