I really hope Miller stays fit, he could tear this league up.

along with staying fit he would have to remove that massive chip off his shoulder, stop sulking, stop spending most of the match sat on his arse waving his arms about and start kicking the ball with more power than a 4 year old girl.

He needs to start putting himself about a bit. He looks like quite a big lad so he should be bullying defenders, backing in and turning them.

Whenever I saw him play last season, he was just looking for any excuse to stop running! If he got stuck in a bit more, he could be a very useful striker.... not necessarily a goalscorer, but he could provide a lot of assists.

Yeah, not reading anything into the changes...but that gap from 2 to 4 tells us all we need to know. What was it SOD said about "anyone could walk in here and see we need 6 defenders"? :)

Lets face it he's always caused us problems in the past when playing for WBA and QPR. Any performances under McLaren should be discounted because the whole team were completely shit during his tenure and Miller didn't get much of a look in under Cotterill.

I think Ish is the kind of lad that needs an arm around him and building up which I don't think is Cotterill's style of management! If anyone can get the best out of him it is SO'D, he needs to start justifying that big salary pretty soon though.

Glad to see Reidy staying as #11 seeing as I now have "Reid 11" on the back of my new home shirt.

Maybe Jamaal keeps #44 because he's twice as good as Chambers??

Being twice as good as Chamber's isn't exactly difficult.

I don't see why people are under this illusion that Miller is going to do brilliantly this season, he showed no implications of this last season, most of the time he was injured and when he played he never seemed bothered.

The last time I saw Miller play he was so isolated one his own up front it was unreal. It's no wonder he got so frustrated.
Also, did he ever play when fully fit last season? I don't think he did.
I still remember seeing him rip defences up playing for WBA; I'm not aware of any reason why he couldn't do that again - being used properly and being fit notwithstanding.

Im trying to be positive and write off how shit everyone was last season as i think i'd of struggled to play firstly under McClaren and then Cotternil in just one season. New season new owners, new manager fresh start for all

New signings Danny Collins and Adlene Guedioura have been allocated numbers 5 and 7 respectively.

Guy Moussi, Chris Cohen, Robbie Findley, Karl Darlow, Ishmael Miller and Matt Derbyshire are among the players to have opted for new numbers for the forthcoming campaign.

Are we now to believe that Darlow is to be our new 2nd choice 'keeper? I was hoping we would bring in someone to offer Camp a fight for his place.

The same happened with Garner last year and just look at all the goals he banged in, clearly the forum knows what they're talking about!
The guy is utter dog egg and will never be anything but an injury prone dog egg.

My stand out memory of last season was a big black fella tracking a winger back into our box and making a last ditch block. Presuming it was Moussi, turned out it was Miller, still got blasted for being lazy though.

Give the guy a f***ing chance, Forest fans always want to lynch someone and it's always to our as well as the players detriment.

Here, here.

Miller has had rotten luck with his health. A fit and roaring Ishmael Miller could rip this division a new one.

Apart from being our only bright spark in the first quarter of the season, when totally isolated up front and supplied by a midfield of Greening and Boateng to boot.

Miller looks like a sulky arse to me, and his injury record is appalling, but I dont want to write him off yet.

I do remember him having several good games against us, where he looked strong, pacey and a threat. I just hope he can stay fit for a period of time.

Personally I am going to give everyone a clean slate to start with next year, more in hope than expectation.

Moussi to play like he did for that burst of games before his injury vs Coventry.
Miller to stay fit and look dangerous like he did for West Brom.
Derbyshire to stay fit and score goals like he did at Olympiacos.
Greening to roll back the years and look like the Fulham/WBA of himself.
McGugan to have a good season, scoring and creating
Tudgay to play like he did when he was on loan
Findley to stay fit and show the form that got him to the World Cup
McGoldrick to....urrrrr...McGoldrick to...contribute?

Im not deluded enough to think all this will happen, but it would be in our best interests if it did, so I hope it does.

With new owners and a new manager, it just feels like a new start for everyone. Hopefully some of them can grab the opportunity.
