Ask Bristol City fans whos the better manager, Cotters or SOD? Now ask Forest fans the same question, its horses for courses.....

"Were Nottingham Forest, we play on the floor"

Brian Clough flopped spectacularly at Leeds. People who view what happened elsewhere above what happened here need to realize that various clubs are setup different, and it's all about fit.

As great as Billy was, for me SOD was actually the best allround fit for the club at that time. We had a great balance back then and just as it was blossoming fully we sacked him

It's true about fit. Some managers aren't the most talented and won't every set the world alight at any club but then they find one where they just slot in perfectly.

I don't think I'll ever get over how stupid that sacking was. It was the worst sacking of the lot for me.

FFP as with the injuries sometimes just feels like a convenient excuse for as a club as a whole being completely shit.

Unbelievable, the man is not or has ever been an impact manager, I know this, any fan with an ounce of football knowledge knows this. Do these Chairman ever check these facts. Time and patience with the likes of Sean O'Driscoll, a footballing man through and through.

I really wish Fawaz had granted the man far more time.

Spot on Sedge. Although, ironically, considering the situation he inherited from Cotterill in terms of barely a handful of players being available to him, he was proving to be having something of an impact with us.

I'm very proud to have come up with that song!

That falls on the old owner though , the current one just extend it , not helped by the worse injury crisis we have had and the demnanding fans making it toxic for any managers that takes over.
Yeah, some of fans are right toxic bastards!

Have to say to watching both Bournemouth and Doncaster play us when he was in charge and thinking "I wish we played football like that". When he did come, I agree, I think he needed time and wasn't given it, so he has to go into the 'unproven' file.

I remember watching us play Blackburn when he was in charge here and it still sticks in my head as the worst game of Football I've ever seen, it really was that bad.

Swings and roundabouts!

Tell you what, if Fawaz went to SOD and said something like "I made a mistake, come back, remove the high earners and the deadwood, bring in some young players and teach them how to play decent football. You got a year to remove the high earners and another year on top of that to begin to implement the vision" then everything would be forgiven.
