The cassette tape got tangled up in the machine and they didn't have a pencil to wind it back on so they binned it. (you ahve to be a certain age to understand that).

How many of us on here said there would be no audio?

Quelle f*ck ing surprise
It's like phoning a call centre that aggressively states that 'all calls are monitored for training and monitoring purposes'. That is until you have complaint against them, when suddenly no such recording exists.

We're constant told that 'all decisions are checked by VAR', but this is seemingly a lie. This all feels like a can of worms is being slowly opened.

I'm new and this is my first post. It may be that It's the wrong thread ,so any advice would be graciously received. I believe it's time the fans actually got together somehow to collectively voice disapproval over the way VAR is being used.
I'll say NO Comment on the use of VAR at Everton and just say it's complete DOG SHITE and it's been going on too long.
The way Coventry were denied a famous win on Sunday should be the tipping point for all of us that follow the game and our teams . Leaving Conspiracy theories aside, I think it's fair to say that PIGmol have had enough time to implement VAR and use it for what is designed for.
It certainly was NOT designed to re referee every goal in slow motion to find any reason to not give it..
Apologies again if I've put this rant in the wrong thread.
I also acknowledge my Username probably needed more thought ..
I must add I'm not a Forest fan but I am old enough to appreciate what a great Club you follow..
Not a Derby fan but here in peace because our game needs us all to put our allegiances aside on this particular issue...
I'm hoping for positive feedback , I'm here in peace, will reveal my team but let's see how we go.. Please VAR needs to go..

Just watched this. Attwell was the referee.

I'l be fair to them this situation was so chaotic, I've got no idea how they were able to analyse it properly. On Sunday ours was far more simple as there wasn't a million different things going off. BUT I have always wondered how VAR works in that obviously play continues while Attwell was hopefully reviewing our penalty claims, who is watching the match if something else happens.

If I remember last season we had something happen and play continued and it never got VAR checked properly because there wasn't time. I always thought why don't we just boot it out when something like this happens and force the VAR to check by giving him time to check.

I've always understood it to be that there is an assistant VAR on duty for each match?

I thought, going by the Liverpool one, VAR, assistant VAR and an intermediary. The Assistant VAR is operating the technology (rewinding looking at angles etc) in unison with the Official VAR, which think you can gather by the clip I posted. Listening to that clip I do feel a bit sorry for them in that specific situation, it was mayhem.

The most worrying thing about this for me is that the VAR has to be told at one point that it's not onside automatically simply because Gabriel is in front of the man due to the fact that the goalie isn't in front of the man. I get that usually this won't be relevant but it's an error I would maybe expect from a 6 year old who didn't know the rules.

Some chap on the latest Dore podcast mentioned the Premier league will want us down after the tweet stunt.

No points back, Luton get a dodgy penalty in the next few games etc. I can see that viewpoint but let's see.

Just hope the team can do enough to score a few goals and make these VAR marginals immaterial.

And they'll probably take the piss by awarding us a peno against City when 6-0 down lol

Regarding our first penalty shout vs Everton, pretty telling that the same ref gave this a penalty and VAR agreed -
Wasn't that derided that shouldn't have been a penalty? Our 1st one was more of a penalty than that. I wonder becuase he got pelters for that he's automatically not given ours, even though there was far more contact.

Plus the position of the cameras is neither use nor ornament.

Well according to Dermot Gallagher they aren't quite giving these, based on the last few weeks. f*** knows why. No wonder nobody knows what the hell's going on, they make the rules up as they go along. f***ing shambles.
