Said this on Saturday, if it's a blatant attempt then get the twats off.

Holloway is right about this. He's wrong about it costing them a point and that might be the point which relegates them though. They will be down by Valentines Day.

It's not enough to say send them off, because by the very nature of the act referees don't always spot the dive.
Retrospective video evidence should be used, and those found guilty should face meaningful suspensions.
The problem at the moment is the potential reward versus potential punishment (a penalty or a yellow card - or even no punishment at all) makes it far too tempting to dive.
If we can't trust players to have some sort of integrity and trust them not to cheat - and obviously we can't - we have to make it simply not worth it.
And what happens when someone is sent off for 'diving' and it turns out they were genuinely fouled a la Danny Welbeck?
Retrospective punishments are the only ones that are remotely feasible and even then you'll have a hard time proving what a player was intending at the time.
Only in England is this viewed as cheating. It must be a cultural thing.
On the continent it's viewed as clever play.... The anger is never aimed at the offending player, but at the referee for failing to spot the offence
Chris Gunter would be f**ked
I do remember seeing an interview with a Spanish or South American player and he basically said diving and trying to win fouls is part of the game and completely acceptable. I think it was in the aftermath of the Eduardo incident.
