What tweets were those mate? I'm not big on teirte/XNot surprised, also think it is Miltiadis behind them tweets
This one is defo Miltiadis a lot have been sending tweets to him11,000 waiting list
Disgusted by those tweets, read the room for Christs sake.Hope the club reads the responses to the 2 tweets posted tonight boasting about the success & demand for season cards - getting absolute pelters from all & sundry.
Clueless!
I've just read the comments under the tweets....WOW!!! I've never seen anything like that after a club tweet. They have absolutely stung the fanbase to the point of utter disgust. This is genuinely the worst PR stunt the club has ever pulledI work in political comms and I've never seen an organisation have a day as bad as this PR wise. Mistep after mistep. Even Corbyn's Labour didn't have a day this much of a car crash.
What they haven’t told you is 10,000 of the waiting list have a surname starting with an M and ending with arinakis.
I don’t believe for a second there’s 11,000 people queuing up to get a season ticket.
FTFYTicket prices will be £50 fortopthe cheapest games as well, but the City Ground will still sell out.
I think this a lot more than hot air tbh. I've not seen anything like this kind of backlash before. The thing with the train journey is that you probably really need to make that journey, people don't need to go to the football and it's hard to justify it.It’s a real shame for those who won’t be able to afford to go next season, especially the older people who have seen a price increase make it impossible for them. Though given the tweets about record renewal (no reason to believe its false), I imagine a lot of the twitter / online backlash is just hot air, and venting frustrations before eventually forking over the cash to renew, I mean its like train fare increases, you get pissed off, but you’re still gonna have to make that journey.
And I guess the large waiting list was a tactical plan, to show season card holders that if they can’t afford it, plenty can. It is a real shame, but it is the price of ‘success’
I'm tempted to ditch the away games and just have some beers with my mates watching it at home. I'll save a fortune and not have a hundred mile trip home feeling totally pissed off after another crap performance.Perhaps this year people will bite the bullet, one more price increase of 25% and people will be asked to pay £1000 to sit in the main stand and people will be forced to not renew as that would be insane.
They can say what they want about the waiting list but it means nothing unless people actually buy the tickets available to them.
The atmosphere will only get worse when folk who have quite literally been going to games their entire lives sack it off, in todays age you can watch every game for free online now as well so I suspect some people will chose to do that instead.
Most back bone they've shown in a while - will the club take notice? Not one bitIt appears that the FAB weren't consulted either and IIRC correctly we were told they would be. Scathing statement from the NFFC trust.
STATEMENT ON Season Card pricing 2024/25 - Nottingham Forest Supporters Trust
NFST notes the announcement by the club today of very substantial price increases in season card prices for all sections of the City Ground. We bitterly regret both the scale of these increases and the fact that the fan groups making up the new Fan Advisory Board (FAB) have not been properly...nffctrust.org
