Season Cards 2024/2025

I'm still seething about Origi's miss against Wolves. Absolutely useless.
That's what is still pissing me off now. He didn't actually miss Ash because that was neither a shot at goal or a pass. Had he been properly focused, he'd have either scored or at least tested the 'keeper, or he'd have provided Wood with an opportunity to.

I'd rather see Ribeiro, who played Origi in with a peach-of-a-ball, used in that substitute role in the remaining games. The kid has something about him in my opinion.

I agree. Really like what little I've seen of Ribeiro. He simply cannot be any worse than Origi, who offers absolutely nothing.

Getting back to season ticket pricing.

The announcement followed shortly after the Fan Advisory Board meeting. Fan representatives knew that the Club has been very poor on some important supporter issues. They knew that the announcement on season tickets had to be made imminently.

Why did fan reps not press for more information, or at least, for advance knowledge before the announcement?

If the FAB is to be a real opportunity for fan consultation and input our representatives must be more demanding. The arrangements are long overdue, and are a requirement for PL Clubs. We know that some clubs do not want them, and will not take them seriously. We must ensure that the NFFC FAB is not a talking shop but a serious forum for supporters to have an input on club policy.

In effect we have given the Club a free hit on perhaps the most important issue for many fans.

Our Club has changed off the pitch in the past two years. We have recruited extensively to administrative posts at all levels. Many changes have improved matters, and I have received great help and support from some club officers.

However, in some important areas including WFCG development, ticketing policies and pricing, we are seriously lacking. Our best way to have influence is the FAB. They must hold the club to account on these important issues and decisions.

I know that the fans groups have differing views on policy, and each other. Hopefully the different groups will see the need on the most important issues to have a shared vision before decisions are taken.

The club pays lip service & no more to the FAB.
Exactly. It was set up, like those of other clubs, after prompting from the Premier League, who are absolutely shitting themselves at the prospect of an independent regulator being appointed.

Fan Advisory Boards are about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. And in the Premier League, they have little or no effect at all.

That is no excuse for FAB not making our club accountable. We are now having to react to the Clubs decision.

We know that FABs can only address certain issues, and that business decisions are the responsibility of Clubs.

However, FAB is the only access supporters have for discussion with senior club staff. A real opportunity to let the club know the feelings of supporters.

Are you suggesting that we don’t use this opportunity?

I suspect from your working background you, like me, have spent time in many meetings. Even as junior partners in meetings you have to use your nous to achieve positive outcomes.

As I say a free hit for the Club.

It was truly pathetic, and a mistake we just couldn’t afford

How does the FAB make the club accountable if the club are not going to share information with them? I believe the FAB did ask for information regarding season ticket renewals, but the club never provided them with any in depth information.

Origi was free, remember? Sure, the punt hasn't worked out, but that doesn't mean it wasn't worth a punt back in the Summer.

Though that rings a bit hollow when we've probably paid more in Salary for him than the season ticket hike will earn. Doesn't feel very free if the cost is fan alienation at the crucial point of the season.
At 120k p/w for arguably 44 weeks that's a staggering £5.28m...

Dennis, was signed for 10m (not the reported 17m) without looking if he contract is 4 years, that's 2.5m in amortisation and still leaves room for £54k p/w wages which he was probably on...

Wages will kill us faster than transfer fees.

According to reports from the FAB meeting supporter representatives asked at the meeting for the information but were told that it was not available.

My post is very clear that supporter representatives would know the Club had to make a decision very quickly. They would be aware of the clubs financial position, and the policy to grow income. They should have requested to be told the decision ahead of publication, or ideally prior to the decision - there is no evidence that they did this.

Any experienced governance practitioner would have foreseen this problem. Hopefully FAB supporter representatives will learn from this.

Last season the club did consult with some supporter representatives on proposals for 2023/24 season cards, and did take up some suggestions (including one I made).

I’ve not seen anything online but have the F.A.B. responded in any way to the recent season ticket price changes?

Following today's poor result, it adds another layer to the season card debacle.

Fans are going to start questioning what division we're paying these prices for?

It’ll be interesting if anyone has season ticket prices for 2024/25 for all current Premier League and Championship clubs?

For comparison.

I'd like to know how many we've sold as i wouldn't be pretty surprised if this "record renewel" statement is bullshit..

I can't wait for the club to announce the new shirts at £150 a piece on top
And then have an end of season fire sale at £20 a shirt.
I cannot understand the mechanics of the shirt thing.
New seasons shirts go on sale in the summer at £75.
To minimise cost to the Club, they surely estimate demand and order in bulk.
Fans, knowing the early price is way over the top also know that come the latter part of the season the stock of shirts left are obsolte from the club's perspective, and as such it becomes a cash realisation exercise so the shirts are knocked down to £20 each... with further reductions likely if the obsolete stock emains unsold at 320.
So, the logical fan will make an intelligent decision and wear his/her recently acquired last years' kit they bought for next to nothing, and shun the new design, which will be overpriced early on, over-orddered to gain lowest cost per unit, and discounted as the season nears its end.
Indeed, the really sensible fan will have invested in a vintage shirt (manufactured when quality was significantly higher than today's muck), and will be the envy of their mates.
I have people begging me to let them feel the quality of my old (but original) Pinnacle era shirt, with its embroidered logo.
Sinister buys shirts when the price is low.

Bin VAR!
I know somebody very close to here who has an original home forest shirt for this year priced £80
They also have a home, away and 3rd shirt from china, £39 for the 3 delivered, adidas packaging and indistinguishable. Apart from one home shirt being L and the other XL you can’t tell the difference after 8 months of wear. Make of that what you will!

If my kids want shirts early next season I'll be buying from overseas again on the cheap.
I'm still boycotting the shop after last week's season ticket announcement

Will we get a free gift again in the Season Card pack?
I've heard tell it is likely to be a credit note for £100!
(Only joking - it's really a cheque).
