So the Trust have responded following the club’s announcement of ‘additional benefits’.
To quote BC - they float like a butterfly & sting like one.
Pitiful response.

TRUST STATEMENT ON NEW SEASON CARD BENEFITS

In the period since the original announcement of 2024/25 season card prices, the Trust has been engaged in discussions with the club via our position on the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) on how best to mitigate the impact on supporters.

The Trust notes the new offerings outlined yesterday by the club and has the following observations.
o We are very disappointed to see no reduction in prices. As has been noted previously, the average increase imposed is hugely disproportionate to prevailing inflation and also much higher than what has been seen at other Premier League clubs
o We are equally disappointed at the fact that there has been no change to the altered concession bandings. The stand-out example of the increases to be experienced by 18- and 19-year-olds is we believe inexplicable, not least because virtually all other Premier League clubs have concessions for this age group

o Based on emails sent by supporters to the Trust, we believe that the consequence of these unprecedented increases is that many loyal supporters are likely to be priced out of attending. This should be a matter of deep regret for all with the interests of the club at heart
o The club’s acceptance of the proposal we made of a guaranteed cash buyback scheme for up to three games will, we hope, help some supporters in times when they are experiencing budgeting problems
o We welcome the extension of the renewal deadline but would prefer to have seen it moved to beyond the end of the season so most fans would have had a second payday to help with budgeting. This would also mean fans would definitely have been aware of what division the club will play in which, given the scale of the increases, only seems fair – a case of knowing what you’re buying
o We are pleased to see the inclusion of two women’s games added to the package. This will lead to substantially increased attendances and profile for this increasingly important and successful Nottingham Forest team
o We welcome the fact that the club has listened to the FAB and has been influenced to improve the overall package, despite our regrets that the enhancements achieved have been relatively minor. We note that several other clubs have not offered any improvements whatsoever despite fan protests and so this evidence of Forest’s preparedness to listen and engage is positive. It needs to be built on and developed
o In future we hope to be involved, via the FAB, in an earlier, more thorough and two-way consultation over pricing. All Forest fans recognise the commercial pressures the club faces, not least because of the introduction of the Squad Cost Ratio PSR rules in 2025/26. This should not however automatically lead to increasingly unaffordable tickets. We believe that fans can work with the club to come up with a programme that balances the need to optimise revenue without pricing out ordinary fans
The Football Supporters’ Association – of which the Trust is an affiliate – recently covered the Forest increases in an article on its website, alongside an article on wider trends of ticketing increases across the Premier League.

Does the guaranteed buy back scheme mean you can sell your season ticket back to the club for 3 games, which would be approx. £120. You'd still be able to go to 16 home games.

Appreciate it's not an ideal scheme and I still think the club needs to do something more with the age categories, but I do think this will help some people out.

It could be 20 games.

Yes, but the small print mentions "selected" games, not any game.

Have we all forgotten now about the rise in season card prices? When money can be squandered so easily on a supermarket sweep of players over the last 2 seasons, can we be sure that they won’t be doing the same again?

Yep, those lads I mentioned the other week have committed to taking the plunge at Stags now.

It's not even about them going up as such, it's more about the general feel-good factor which is oozing out of the club there and the surrounding community.

I went to watch the Stags a good few times this season as well. Its less than 10 mins up the A60.
£2 on the pronto bus and it is virtually door to door. A couple of beers in Il Rosso after the game - good afternoon/evening out.
Problem was from March onwards - you had to buy your ticket in advance because they were selling out.
You are right a feel good factor all around the place.
They are finally going to build the 4th stand in the next year or so - i think that takes attendance up from 9k to 12k.
I would love to see them well in league 1 next year - pity there is no local Derby against the sheep.
Thing is - I am a Forest fan and I would rather spend an hour getting there on bus/tram/walk than go 10 mins up the road!

They’ve got decent games against Barnsley and Rotherham to look forward to. Hopefully they can push on next year.

Very fair question.

The Fan Advisory Board supporter members need to be on the ball on this issue. They must push harder and earlier than this season, and demand to see and discuss the proposals before publication.

Once announced it is too late - we end up with such a modest trade-off as just witnessed for 2024/25.

The stance of most PL owners towards supporters has changed with a focus on maximising revenues from home games.

I doubt anyone has forgotten. However, if your decision to renew or not is based on recieving assurances about anything in football it's probably best to keep your money in the bank mate.

Football Supporters Association through its Premier League Network - representatives of Supporter Group members - are supporting the concerns about Clubs attitude to season ticket holders especially the price hikes. The cost of season tickets will also impact on other matchday admission charges. The less well off will suffer most.

We need evidence of supporters who simply cannot afford to renew season tickets. Some supporter groups have already identified supporters in this position.

Do you know of any supporter in this situation who would be prepared to be a case study? If so, please pm me. We need evidence. Hopefully Forest fan groups will engage on this.

The stance of PL owners towards season ticket holders is changing - higher prices, reclassification of seats to higher prices, changing age groups for concessions, moving supporters for corporate attendees etc.

This is not a one-off for 2024/25 and we can expect more. Owners are maximising revenue on matchday.

Thank you for reading this.

I caved and renewed the other day.

Like everyone else will.
