I’m pleased for him. He’s done a great job for us.
True that.

Whilst me might not be the most technically gifted player, he’s never let the team down since joining and was instrumental in the promotion season.

Good luck to him, if he’s off.

Do you not remember him gifting a goal to Bournemouth at the City Ground?
Long ball from the Bournemouth goalie, down the Bournemouth right/Forest left.
Over McKenna's head.
Their winger chased, McKenna chased with him, tackled, won the ball then tried to be clever.
Lost the ball back to the winger instead of putting it into Row Z.
Winger went on and scored; we lost.
However, that's the only glaring error I can remember.

Good luck to him. Was an absolute machine in the promotion season.

Just wasn't quite quick enough or good enough with his feet for the PL.

Probably one of the last places I'd have thought he would have ended up.

Surprised a Championship side didn't want to pay a small six figure fee to take him six months early.

FC Copenhagen are Champions‘ League regulars, and he gets to live in Copenhagen, which is just the little bit nicer than Glasgow or some horrible northern industrial hellscape hosting a Championship level club.

Glasgow is a cracking city.

Good luck to him, big player for us in our promotion season. Copenhagen is a great city, he's picked a good place to go.

It's been on the cards for a good while of course but still sad to see him go. He's been a real warrior for us and a made a great contribution to promotion. But that's a good club in a great city. Good luck Scott.

All of our defenders have screwed up at some point.
I think some of McKenna's good performances went under the radar because he just got on with putting in a solid shift.

Maybe he didn't want to go the Champ?

Champions League football, winning every week in the league and living in Copenhagen? Yes please.
Wages could also be an issue.

Would imagine that he'll have got a substantial rise when we got promoted, and that NFFC will be looking for any loan to cover 100% wages (and there may also be a loan fee).

Plus potentially winning silverware too.

He's been there, done that in the Championship. Nothing left to prove there. If I was him, I'd go to Copenhagen too; play abroad, win some trophies, play in Europe. He can then go back to Scotland afterwards to win a few more trophies with Celtic to round off a decent career.

Makes more sense to me than going back to playing Preston and Rotherham on a Tuesday night.

I'm shocked that neither of the big two north of the border have gone for him. They normally snap up any Scotland International that becomes available, but isn't good enough for the Premier League.
