It wasn’t just Surridge tonight who was wasteful. I think it’s one of few weakness’s of our game is we are tad wasteful at times. Quite a few times different players should have passed it once more for a clear shot or messed a pass up. If Coops sorts that out it’s actually scary what we could achieve.

Thought he looked really good. A couple of poor decisions but that'll improve as he settles in and gets fitter.
Wonder if we could get both him and Davis playing together.

He just looked desperate for a goal I thought, which led to some bad decisions and snatching at chances. A lot of potential though. Looked a threat every time he ran in behind.

He really wants to score but he should have laid that ball off to Brennan.

Assists will be as valuable as him scoring.

He looks really positive on the ball, though. I'm sure it will click for him. He looks like he has a lot to offer.

Looked as much of a handful as Davis.

We may have made two astute signings (loan or otherwise).

Good to see there is a bit of trickery in him too. Not just a honest hard graft type of forward. Early signs are promising.

Looked much better today than against Leics, has tricky feet and is quite pacey. BJ should have let him take the Penalty to get that first goal monkey off his back then hopefully he'll settle in and become more of a "team player".

Nice cameo tonight that showcased what he was brought in to do. Also liked that he was directing those around him when he didn't have the ball, which shows he has game intelligence. I'm trusting Coops with this one.

Outside of the snatched shot, thought he did exactly the job he was likely asked to do.

Encouraging signs. Looks a bit frenetic, as others have said though, a goal will probably settle him down.

If controlled clumsiness is a thing, he seems to have it. Looks awkward but knows what he's doing. As has been mentioned he needs to get his head up and have a bit more awareness of teammates.

Having a decent physical target man is making a big difference. It's what SC wanted from Taylor but his inability to hold up a ball was apparent for all to see.

He should have squared it to Johnson, but his second touch bobbled up and by the time he got it under control that ball had gone. But at the same time Johnson had one 5min earlier which he could have laid off to Garner for a relative tap in, but dragged a left footed shot pretty much straight at the 'keeper.

I really like Surridge, he needs to work on his composure in and around the box but he has so far done an excellent job for the team when he has come on.

But BJ is focused on the goals scored column because that will get him more money when he moves!

Harsh! :)

But if he gets them I don't mind.

We were guilty of a few of these last night. Johnson fed Davis well and could have given it back to Johnson in a better position but Davis blazed it over.

We could have killed off the game on a number of occasions and much sooner.

Hope he scores soon, looks like a solid signing to me.

Not sure you can just develop composure or strikers wouldn't be the most valuable players. Looks to lose his ability to strike the ball cleanly when presented with a good chance. And he was like that at his previous clubs.

He looks to have more ability than I realised, and works incredibly hard, but I don't see him scoring many goals. Hope I'm wrong.

I do wish he'd cut out the Harry Kane backing into defenders when they're jumping for headers. It's a c#$ts trick and could seriously injure someone. You're 6ft3 just jump for it yourself.

Christ, has he even played 30 minutes yet for Forest?

It isn't like he is missing guilt edged chances. He was extremely unlucky not to turn one in from a tight angle that Garner just missed at the far post. Then the one he should have squared to Brennan early, it wasn't like a one on one with the 'keeper, he had to take the defender on to try and get a shot off.

Cooper said as much in his post match interview, it was a good performance but just imagine if the decision making was a tad better it would have been 5!

I like the look of him, he needs more game time but he impressed minus not squaring it to Johnson. I do understand why though, he’s at a new club and as a striker wants to get off the mark as fast as possible.

So he's played about 30 minutes over 2 games, looked sharp and won a penalty.

Not a bad start.

Exactly.

He’s absolutely come in and hit the ground running. As you say, looked really up for it, and has slotted quite nicely into the team.
