Fair point, squad players are still important though. Ameobi is versatile and can play anywhere across a front 3 it also remains to be seen if we keep hold of the likes of Ward and Ariyibi.

He's also another one on the books of the agency Warburton's daughter works for. Not relevant to your point but something I just noted.

On the contrary, it's very relevant. Marinakis is surprisingly tolerant to such questionable ties between those deciding on transfers and transfer targets, usually because he understands the power of agents. I mean, Ameobi may be part of another deal.
