Love him, and he’s more intelligent than people give him credit for.

He’ll be talking to players on a good level but also won’t allow for people not pulling up their socks. It’s one of his biggest irritations and that’s when you’ll see the other side.

So just work hard, give it all you’ve got and you’ll be fine. It’s very simple.

I strongly recommend listening to the Top Flight Time Machine podcasts as they do a 'deep dive' on Keane's 2nd book. It covers the end of his playing career through the Sunderland and Ipswich jobs. Be warned though as my inner monologue was Sam Delaney's Roy Keane impression for a few days after I listened. It cover a few episodes/hours.

One of the most successful players to have graced the Garibaldi in recent generations. 3 years with Cloughie and then 12 under Sir Alex winning everything under the sun, something must have rubbed off. What team wouldn't want the bloke around the training ground?

I can't imagine much of a motivation team talk coming from MON but from RK, absolutely.
